Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M - Bianco Avus 'Tricolori'; 1080p HD

SpotterGijs records an amazing Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M in Bianco Avus with Tricolori striping. My apologies for the video lacking a shot of the engine sound. I waited an hour for the owner to show up and drive away, but unfortunately nobody came. I am in the middle of my school exams, so I haven't been able to make any new vids. That's the reason I upload this lesser interesting video. Next time a new video with sounds! FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com TWITTER: twitter.com 2nd CHANNEL: www.Youtube.com

F1 - 1959 Avus GP - Hans Hermann accident

The simplistic track consisted of a very fast straight down either side of a dual carriageway, punctuated at one end by a hairpin and at the other by a steep banking. Also uniquely in Formula One World Championship history, the race was divided into two heats. In the first, Tony Brooks and Dan Gurney took the lead. Masten Gregory in the Cooper-Climax battled hard with them, passing first one Ferrari then the other as the lead changed hands until a big end bolt broke. It was a Ferrari 1-2-3 with Phil Hill taking the final podium place. In the second heat, once again the Ferraris had a duel at the front, this time with Bruce McLaren until he suffered transfer gear problems. On aggregate placings, it was an all-Ferrari podium in the order Brooks, Gurney, Hill. Maurice Trintignant was fourth from Jo Bonnier and Ian Burgess. This was the fastest Formula One race recorded at this time, with an average speed of 143.3 miles per hour. Hans Herrmann crashed his BRM P25 five laps into the second heat. Former Ferrari driver Frenchman Jean Behra was due to race his Behra-Porsche Special in the Grand Prix but Behra was killed the day before racing a Porsche RSK in the Formula 2 support race at the same venue. The results show evidence of the inconsistency with which rules were applied in this era. According to Formula One rules of the day, those drivers who retired before the end of the Grand Prix should only be classified if they pushed the car over the line after the finish. This ...

F1 - 1959 Avus GP - Highlights

The 1959 German Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at the Automobil-Verkehrs- und Übungs-Straße in West Berlin on August 2, 1959. It was the 21st German Grand Prix and was only the second time the race was not held at the Nürburgring. AVUS had previously held the original German Grand Prix in 1926. The race was held over two 30 lap heats of the eight kilometre circuit for a total race distance of 498 kilometres. In a unique Formula One race format, first, second and third were all claimed by the same team, Scuderia Ferrari. British driver Tony Brooks was declared the winner ahead of American team mates Dan Gurney and Phil Hill. All three drove Ferrari Dino 246s. Silken Avus Drumset Jam

I forgot to identify the Cymbals at the begiibg of the CD, Looking at the kit, 15" Avus crash on top a 10 " splash moving to the left at center of kit a 16" crash up top a 12" splash moving to the left an avus 20 " ride uo tom an 8" splash and to the far left a 14" avus crash. The Avus series is dry and dark with a hint of complexity in it. The ride especially produces a melodic woody tone when ridden hard. Overall excellent rock cymbals.

AVUS scene 2 - A Dandy In Aspic (1968)

Another scene at the legendary AVUS racetrack in Berlin of 1967 from the Anthony Mann movie "A Dandy In Aspic", just before the demolition of the "wall of death", as the huge 43º banked curve was known. Starring Lawrence Harvey and Mia Farrow. It was the last Anthony Mann film, the last major feature for Lawrence Harvey and the last time the banked curve was filmed before destruction. The AVUS (Automobil Verkehrs und Übungs-Strasse) was the world's first autobahn or highway, and doubled as a racetrack. Built in Berlin in the 1920's it consisted of an impossibly long dual carriage straight section joining the localities of Charlottenburg (north) and Nikolassee (south) with loops at each end for a total lenght of more than 19km. In the 1930's during the nazi regime the north curve or "nordkurve" in Charlottenburg was reduced in radius due to urban developments for the olympic games, and given a monumental 43º banking to preserve the track's place as the world's fastest. This is the huge banked curve seen in the film. It was made of bricks so it was bumpy and slippery, and it had no retaining railings at the top so cars could, and did, launch into the air with disastrous consequences. To lower costs, the track was halved in 1951 by upgrading an old motorcycle hairpin at its midpoint (not seen here). The older south loop at Nikolassee was demolished to join the autobahn network and the track now became only 8.3 km long. The banked AVUS north curve was demolished, flattened ...

rFactor - Endurance - Avus - 01

Just another race in rFactor, this time running Endurance cars around Avus. Race went pretty well, I was nice and fast along the straights but a little too slow through that last banked corner before the start/finish line and AI kept passing me as we came out of that turn.
