When she was nine years old, she auditioned and was accepted into the Childrens Metropolitan Choir. "Bhai Bhai" [1956] is an Indian Hindi film directed by Nitai Palit. Starring Kishore Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Nirupa Roy, Shyama, Beena and Lila Dulali. Music is by Madan Mohan. Geetā Dutt (Born Geetā Ghosh Roy Chowdhuri) [November 23, 1930 July 20, 1972] was a prominent Indian playback singer in Hindi movies in the 1950s and 60s, and also a singer of modern Bengali songs. Initially, Geeta was a singer known for singing bhajans and sad songs, but her renderings of composer SD Burman's jazzy musical scores in Bāzi in 1951 demonstrated a new facet of Geeta's singing. The sexiness in her voice and her easy adaptation to "western" tunes. From then on in the 1950s, Geeta was people's first choice for singing seductive songs and providing song accompaniments in dance clubs. SD Burman recognized the magic in Geeta's voice through her songs in "Do Bhāi". He effectively used the Bengali lilt in her voice in movies like Devdās (1955) and Pyāsā (1957). The song "Aaj Saajan Mohe Ang Lagaa Lo" in "Pyasa" is a prime example of a Bengali keertan being presented in its Hindi version. During Geeta's recording of songs for the movie Baazi, she met the movie's young and upcoming director, Guru Dutt. Their romance culminated in marriage on May 26, 1953.... In 1964, Guru Dutt died from a combination of alcohol and an overdose of sleeping pills. You can see part 2 at: www.youtube.com Boris Dvornik (1939-2008) was one of the greatest Croatian actors ever. Together with one of the greatest Serbian actors - Velimir Bata Živojinović, they were a famous tandem of the former Yugoslav cinema. Their friendship symbolized the Tito's policy of brotherhood and unity of the different ethnic groups of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. They played with many international movie stars such as Richard Burton, Orson Welles, Yul Brynner and Franco Nero. Notable films: Sutjeska, Battle of Neretva, Most (Bridge) and others. In 1991 the two actors renounced each other in a series of open letters, which was a gesture often seen as symbolic of the breakup of Yugoslavia. In 2006, they publicly reconciled on the Croatian NOVA TV via a video link between Dvornik's hometown Split (Croatia) and a hospital in Belgrade (Serbia), where Živojinović had a heart surgery. Boris Dvornik died on March 24, 2008. Rest in Peace great man.

He also creates a composite technique that projects a wide variety of rhythms and tones.

(September 17, 1914 September 1, 2008), also known as Tomas Bata Jr. and Tomáš Baťa ml., ran the Bata Shoe Company from the 1940s until the '80s. Bata was born in the Czech city of Prague, in what is now the Czech Republic, the son of Czech industrialist Tomáš Baťa. As a boy he apprenticed under his father, Thomas Sr., who began the Bata Shoe company in 1894 in Zlin, Czechoslovakia. His father, however, was killed in a plane crash when Thomas was only 18, in 1932. Bata attended school in England and came to Canada in 1939, at a time when Nazism was on the rise in his homeland. About seven years after arriving in Canada, having served with the Canadian army, Thomas Bata returned to his native country. In 1948, however, Czechoslovakia was seized by communist powers and Thomas Bata emigrated to Toronto, Canada where he made his home. The Bata Shoe Organization built a new plant in Batawa, Ont., and under Thomas Bata's guidance by the early '90s the company sold about 300 million pairs of footwear a year. After the Communist government fell in Czechoslovakia, Bata made a triumphant return to his hometown in December 1989. Václav Havel, the Czech dissident leader and playwright turned president, asked Bata to return. Havel awarded him the country's top decoration, the Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk Order, in 1991.
