The "mother" of all slasher flicks celebrates it's 50th Anniversary this year. So even though it's early yet, I thought I'd create a cool modern style trailer for it. Aside from the black and white, it holds up much better than I thought. I think the movie itself is overrated, IMO not even one of Hitchcock's top movies. But no one can deny the iconic cultural impact the movie has had, who hasn't heard of Norman Bates? The Bates Motel? The Shower Scene? (with it's heart-stopping score). This...like my trailer for "The Birds", follows modern marketing strategies to make it look brand new. I hope everyone enjoys it, and maybe it will become as popular as my Birds trailer.

The Bates Motel was an awesome punk dive, and when everyone found out it was closing and the space was going to turn into a frat bar, we totally smashed everything possible in the club on the night of the last show. The last Bates show ever featured The Kiss Offs, The Wontons, and The Fatal Flying Guilloteens. I believe the date was January 30th 1999. The full video has some totally crazy stuff, a guy with an axe, destroyed toilets, etc. I'll probably put a few of those clips up, too.
