Commonwealth Games security officials conduct bomb drills, and event organizers defend facilities amid ongoing complaints. Here's more. New waves of athletes from Singapore, England and Nigeria arrive in New Delhi for the Commonwealth Games as host India tightens security. The city is locked down to protect the 8000 athletes of the world's Commonwealth nations who will participate in the games. With a 10000-strong security presence throughout the city, bomb units conducted drills Wednesday. India hoped the event would bring it prestige, but criticism of dirty rooms, shoddy construction and incomplete facilities have marred its image as a rising power. Event organizers praised the athlete's village despite the ongoing complaints. [Lalit Bhanot, Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee Secretary General] "The entire Games Village is clean and I would like to say that whoever sees it now will praise the facilities. You must have heard from the other international athletes that they are very happy with the village and the facilities inside it." Tony Yayo talks album, G-Unit Beefs, Wyclef 4 Prez, Fat Joe & Acting!
Tony Yayo sits down with Ms. Drama to talk about his upcoming album (via EMI) and the digital promotion that G-Unit has been focusing on. Yayo expresses that G-Unit is not about beefs and they haven't made any money off of it. He also talks about the criticism of being on the G-Unit roster and compares the team to the Lakers: Yayo as Derek Fischer, Banks as Lamar Odom, and 50 as the Kobe Bryant of the Hip-Hop game. On the note of Haiti, Yayo expresses his support for Wyclef Jean leading the country. Yayo also talks about artists he's into including some pop acts such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and his artist Danny Brown. Beef is a 2003 film that documents the history of hip-hop feuds. The film's producers were Casey Suchan and Denis Henry Hennelly and the executive producer was Quincy Jones III (QD3). It was written by Peter Alton and Peter Spirer (who also directed), and was narrated by actor Ving Rhames. This film takes a chronological look at battles (some friendly, but many personal) dating back to rap music's infancy in the early 1980s. The notable rivalries discussed include KRS-One vs. MC Shan, Kool Moe Dee vs. Busy Bee, 50 Cent vs. Murder Inc., Tru Life vs. Mobb Deep, Common vs. Ice Cube & Westside Connection, the break-up of legendary group NWA, which includes Ice Cube's abrupt departure, and the later animosty between Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, the highly publicized Jay-Z vs. Nas rivalry and the most infamous feud of them all, 2Pac vs. The Notorious BIG.
