Veronica Bellino

PAST Veronica Bellino, 24, has established herself not only in the New York music scene, but also the west coast, and overseas. Her unique drumming style is characterized by intricate percussive patterns shaped equally by hard-rock visionaries as well as tribal influences. Her ability was aspired at the early age of 12 by listening to players such as Dave Weckl, Carter Beauford, and Danny Carey. She began by playing shows with local Long Island bands such as Chaos In Candyland and Silent Fate, then later studied with superb teachers such as Fred Klatz of the Drummers' Collective in NYC, and Frank Cassara of CW Post, to further expand her ability and technique. In 2002, she recorded her first full-length album with New York-based hard rock/metal band, Silent Fate. A fiercely provocative record reminiscent of classic metal albums of the 1980's and records from the 1990's alternative scene, it was here that Veronica's remarkable drumming talent first fully blossomed. She also received media attention from college press through this group. NYC-based sludge-metal band, After Dark, recognized Veronica's talent and recruited her for their 2006 EP, entitled the "Resurrection EP." The EP, along with Veronica's drumming, received many positive reviews from writers of Heavycore.org, Hellridemusic.com, and Metalreviews.com.
