Every game manages to capture my imagination and submerses me in the story and has just left me wanting more. Like with all Legend of Zelda games, each weapon has some kind of unique ability to help you advance, The weapons in this game definitely take full advantage of the Wii Motionplus controls which definitely adds to the importance of using them for your full benefit in solving puzzles and defeating enemies. There is also a new 'upgrading' system for weapons and items in this game, which is implemented by finding certain materials in the game, a great addition to the series that adds even more emphasis to the importance of weapons and items in this game. The controls in this game have been modified to use motionplus with the combat system for 1 to 1 sword play, however, sometimes this can present problems when engaged in heating combat. It takes a while to get used to, but even then I found myself having trouble in certain situations.. the rest of the games controls are as good as the rest of the series... but I feel the addition of motionplus makes the sword combat system a little rough.. The enemies in this game are definitely a creative and there is a huge variety of <b>...</b>

Sword fights are no longer routine exercises in obligatory button mashing. Each one is an event that requires attention, even strategy. But the most interesting thing about the game is its appearance. Skyward Sword is based on impressionism, an art style that blossomed in the 19th century. The whole idea is you're not necessarily painting an object as much as you're capturing light. This is exactly what Nintendo has accomplished with Skyward Sword. Objects looming in the distance are beautifully rendered in the impressionist style, but as you approach them, they slowly come into focus. Details emerge. The painting begins to move. After a very long hiatus Jarrod is back with a review of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Wii. All you naysayers out there prepare to be schooled! Skyward Sword validates the Wii's very existence is hands-down the very best game on the system. If you're like me and aren't a huge fan of motion controls, go out and buy this right now as it will likely change your mind. Skyward Sword is incredible, majestic and breathtaking. In the review I failed to mention how fantastic this art design was, well it's awesome! While it sucks the Wii isn't in HD, the game still looks great thanks to the beautiful design. Overall I'd love to see Nintendo keep this style on the Wii U in glorious HD because some of the textures here are quite flat, but again that's expected given the hardware limitations. I hope you enjoy the video.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword from Nintendo for the Nintendo Wii. Skyward Sword is the eighth proper Zelda title released for a home console, which makes its freshness all the more impressive. It's rare to play a game in which the controls actually immerse you into the game's world, but that's what MotionPlus does for Zelda. Sword fights are no longer routine exercises in obligatory button mashing. Each one is an event that requires attention, even strategy. But the most interesting thing about the game is its appearance. Skyward Sword is based on impressionism, an art style that blossomed in the 19th century. The whole idea is you're not necessarily painting an object as much as you're capturing light. This is exactly what Nintendo has accomplished with Skyward Sword. Objects looming in the distance are beautifully rendered in the impressionist style, but as you approach them, they slowly come into focus. Details emerge. The painting begins to move.
