Chicago Blackhawks vs Toronto Maple Leafs Brawl 1989-90 (NHL Classic)

Follow my YouTube video updates on Twitter. twitter.com Dave Manson was slapped with three games for abuse of an official -- shoving linesman Ron Finn to the ice when he charged to the aid of Denis Savard in a fight with Gary Leeman-and 10 games for returning to the ice after being escorted off the playing surface. Although Manson contends he didn`t leave the ice, referee Andy van Hellemond`s report to NHL Executive Vice President Brian O`Neill contradicted that claim. ``I knew if I went off it would be a 10-game suspension, so that`s why I didn`t go off,`` said Manson, who already has served one three-game suspension for bowling over an official earlier this year.`` Saturday`s brawl wound up at the Hawk blue line, where Savard and Leeman tangled. ``It was a bad situation because our dressing room entrance way was right there (behind the goal) where the fight was going on,`` said Manson. ``It was easy for them to try to take our guys off instead of trying to get their guys all the way down to the other end.`` ``The problem was that our guys were outnumbered. I did what I had to do. I had my eyes on Savvy and Leeman. I didn`t even see the linesman who was trying to break them up by himself. I didn`t hit him-I just bumped him.`` According to General Manager Bob Pulford, the Hawks cannot appeal either suspension but can have the 10-game suspension rescinded-if they can prove Manson never left the ice. ``We`ll have to take these three, even though I don`t think he deserved ...

NHL Chicago Blackhawks Intro Video 2010-2011-Hoist the Colors

Happy new NHL season! People have asked me if I would do an intro video like those badass ones you see at the games on the scoreboard before puck drop, and to be honest I've wanted to do one for a while. I used similar music and some of the graphic footage from the "official videos" and put my own spin on it.-enjoy, and subscribe and comment and all that bullshit. WFLD Channel 32 - Chicago Black Hawks Vs. Boston Bruins (Excerpts, 1976)

Here are some selected excerpts of the Chicago Black Hawks / Boston Bruins game on WFLD Channel 32, played at Boston Garden in Boston, MA. This was from an original 2" Quad master tape, and though the "recorded date" says 3-31-76, this game was broadcast on 3-25-76. I think someone, perhaps Don Shannon (who directed this telecast) made this compilation of excerpts from the original tape(s) on the 31st (or perhaps it was done live? That wouldn't account for the 3-31-76 date though) In any case, it's too bad he didn't save the entire telecast, but at least we have a nice overview. The announcer for this game, as for all Black Hawks games in the 1975-76 hockey season, was Lloyd Pettit. (The Bruins defeated the Black Hawks, 4-2.) All through the feed from Boston, there is the 100 Hz - 5 kHz telco audio which was heard on all remote transmissions through the end of January 1978. Also featuring Brad Palmer (best known from his time doing sports on WLS Channel 7 News, AKA, "The Professor") doing some interviews from the WFLD studios. Highlights include: Opening segment with sponsor information (voiceover by Doug Dahlgren? or Bud Kelly?) - sponsors for tonight's game given as: - Anheuser-Busch, Inc. ("Brewers of Busch, Budweiser and Michelob") (fades out at end of this plug) Lloyd Pettit on camera, announcing his hope the Black Hawks can end their recent losing streak, and noting that the Bruins have had a 15-game winning streak up to this point WFLD Chicago Black Hawks bumper ...

Todd Bertuzzi Slick Shootout Goal vs. Blackhawks - Sept 25th 2011 (HD)

Follow my YouTube video updates on Twitter. twitter.com Some of the key players on the Detroit Red Wings already appear to be in midseason form. Todd Bertuzzi scored a highlight-reel goal in the shootout and Henrik Zetterberg followed with the decisive tally as the Red Wings claimed a 4-3 win over the rival Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday afternoon at Joe Louis Arena. Zetterberg also scored in regulation for the Red Wings, while Valtteri Filppula and Nicklas Lidstrom had power-play goals. On a down note, Detroit lost rookie forward Jan Mursak for an unknown length of time due to a fractured left ankle. Rookie forward Brandon Pirri helped the Blackhawks rally from a 3-1 deficit with a pair of goals and also scored in the shootout. Jimmy Hayes, another prospect trying to make the team, had their other goal. Pirri scored on the Blackhawks' first attempt against Ty Conklin in the shootout, but Bertuzzi followed with a spectacular move in which he put the puck between his legs, passed it to himself and then beat Alexander Salak on a backhander.

1971 BlackHawks vs Rangers, Stanley Cup Semi-Final Game 5 Hull OT Winner.avi

ORIGINAL TV FOOTAGE aired by WGN. In 1972 WGN aired a special called "Destination Stanley Cup" as the Blackhawks headed into the 72' playoffs. As part of that special, they rolled high quality broadcast highlights of the 1971 playoffs. The Hawks battled the NY Rangers to 7 games with 3 going to OT. This was Game 5, Bobby Hull scores the winner in OT off the draw in front of Ed Giacomin...Pandemonium at Chicago Stadium. If WGN made this special, they just might have the ful game footage from the 71 playoffs, including Game 7 vs. Montreal. I'll keep doing research until I find those games!!
