In turn players place their tiles on the board starting at their corner. Each new piece must touch at least one other piece of the same colour but ONLY at the corner. Pieces must not share any edge. There is no restriction on pieces touching any other colour. Your goal is to cover the largest area with your colour of tiles. Try to blockade your opponents while expanding your area. The game ends when no players can place any more tiles on the board.

Time-lapse video of me completing the Blokus® One-Player variation: Eighty-Four! I mounted the camera to a bar clamp connected to the floor joists in my basement, and used a sequencing program to take a picture every ten seconds (I didn't want to rush myself, and have to back-track.) Gotta give props to Bernard Tavitian, for inventing this awesome game!!! To be completely honest, it took me about two weeks of work using AutoCAD to arrange them in such a way that I was able to place the pieces on the board in such an orderly fashion!
