Healthy Body = Functional Body. Hollywood Look Side Effect: Healthy Function

My Grandparents chose to love each other when they met as teenagers, and then, they chose to love each other every part of every day, through the Great Depression, through absence during war, child rearing, work, illnesses... Life. Finding TRUE love? They met... And That was it. Again, the true love part was a daily choice whether either was as attractive or as exciting as the day they met. True love depends on each person, not just the one you find or the one that finds you. In other words, Love is a Choice, because we are not 110% lovable 24 hours a day. True love is when each person sees that real life is not like a romance movie script True love is accepting the fact of real life, which brings creative challenges that, with the choice to love, can increase attraction. Popular novels, songs, shows, movies... Each have scripts that are no doubt, inspired. The talented people that write and act, the hundreds or thousands of people that are the list of credits at the end of a movie - from the accountants to the doctors to the musicians and screenwriters - They work on projects that, as finished masterpieces, may often have coincidental similarities to your definition of romance and the most often undefined and over-used phrase... "true love" Again, the credits behind movies, books, shows and songs... include a lot of people. Why, because such productions are intentionally crafted to touch our deepest self. So, they are edited for perfection, music and effects and colors <b>...</b>

How the Body Works : The Functions of Blood

The Functions of Blood Blood transports many different materials around the body. Red blood cells carry oxygen from the lungs to the tissues and carbon dioxide from the tissue to the lungs. Blood plasma transports antibodies, which protect the body from infection, carries food substances absorbed from the intestines and takes waste products to the kidneys for excretion. It also transports hormones, secreted by endocrine glands, to their sites of action. Clotting factors circulating in the plasma prevent blood loss whenever blood vessels are damaged or broken. Blood also regulates the water content of tissue cells. Blood buffers, chemicals within the blood, maintain the correct acidity of body fluids. Enzymes may be transported by blood plasma, which also distributes the heat produced by metabolism.

How the Body Works : Functions of the Hypothalamus

How the Body Works Functions of the Hypothalamus The hypothalamus consists of a number of areas that control the basic drives-hunger, thirst and sex-as well as the internal environment of the body. It is also concerned with emotions and the sensations of pleasure and, possibly, with the sensations of pain and "displeasure". The posterior area controls sexual drives and, therefore, the ability to reproduce the species. The anterior areas control thirst and the drive to find water. The supraoptic nuclei are also concerned with the thirst drive. The preoptic nucleus is the body's thermostat and functions to control internal body temperature. The ventromedial nucleus, or "appestat," controls the hunger drive. The dorsomedial nucleus controls aggressive behavior. The dorsal area is thought to be the human "pleasure center."

Total Body Exercise - 1 Exercise to Test Your "ATHLETIC" STRENGTH!

More Total Body Exercise Workouts: athleanx.com Total body exercise options have the biggest ability to help you build new muscle since they integrate many muscle groups together into one exercise. That said, when it comes to building strength, you have lots of options. Not just in the number of exercise choices you have but also the type of strength that you're looking to build. To me, there are two types of strength...brute strength building exercises and athletic strength building exercises. For an exercise to help you build athletic strength it has to be able to challenge you in all three planes of motion. 3-D Strength as I like to call it. When an exercise challenges you in all three planes it helps you to integrate muscles together that often prefer to work together. Fetal Development: How human formed from Sperms to a Baby

This video performs you the process of a fertilized egg to a baby in 3D!! You'll find the magnificent work of our Creator... Explanations: After sexual intercourse, sperm travels through the cervix and uterus and into the Fallopian tubes. Conception usually takes place in the outer third of the Fallopian tube. A single sperm penetrates that egg and a joining of the genetic information occurs. This resulting single cell is called a zygote. The zygote spends the next few days traveling down the Fallopian tube and rapidly multiplying the number of cells through division. A mulberry-like mass, like a hollow rubber ball, 1/100 inch wide, results from the cell division. This ball of cells in the Fallopian tube is called a morula. The embryonic stage begins on the 15th day after conception and continues until about the 8th week, or until the embryo is 1.2 inches in length. Week 3 we see the formation of the heart, the beginning development of the brain and spinal cord, and the beginning of the gastrointestinal tract. Weeks 4 and 5 -1/4 inch long: Here we see the beginnings of the vertebra, the lower jaw, the larynx ("voice box"), and the rudiments of the ear and eye. The heart, which is still outside body, now beats at a regular rhythm. Although arm and leg "buds" are visible with hand and foot "pads," the embryo still has a tail and cannot be distinguished from pig, rabbit, elephant, or chick embryo by an untrained eye. Week 6 - 1/2 inch, 1/1000 of an ounce: In week 6, we see <b>...</b>

How Beautiful is the Body of Christ - Inspirational Video

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up only one body. So it is with the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12. Paul compares the body of Christ to a human body. Each part has a specific function that is necessary to the body as a whole. The parts are different for a purpose, and in their differences they must work together. Oh how beautiful it is when we come together as one body by the working of the Holy Spirit we become all part of God's family.

ADHD OCD Anxiety Diagnosis? Brain Function Beyond Labels

www.corepsychblog.com ADHD Medication Dosage Strategies too often overlook this Important OCD-like presentation - Cognitive anxiety is the most frequently overlooked subset of ADHD and isn't in the current diagnostic manual - *the Paleolithic Bible* - this video gives just a quick overview of the anxiety section in my new eBook: "ADHD Medication Rules" Available here: bit.ly "OCD" may in fact arise from ADHD! My new book *ADHD Medication Rules* discusses the OCD/ADHD question in detail. It will be a game changer and is available here: bit.ly - So many forget that reality does change, and that the body is, in fact, connected to the mind! - Imagine that! Basic metabolic, body-related imbalances often have far reaching effects that encourage *unpredictable outcomes* with medication management. And if that "OCD" is treated with antidepressants, but is really ADHD, you will miss the target and be worse off than when you started! OCD medicines make ADHD far worse as the work on a completely different part of the brain, on a *completely different neurotransmitter system.* In a hurry? See that point at min 4.30. Just think about this point: How many with ADHD are treated with stimulant meds - without paying attention to the specific cognitive attention-related targets? The short answer: Thousands!! Get it right - start with the ADHD Medication Tutorial series linked below. My point on this: Many are treated for thinking problems - without specific thinking about the thinking <b>...</b>

Lipid Metabolism, Fat Transport in the Body

This course is part of a series taught by Kevin Ahern at Oregon State University on General Biochemistry. For more information about online courses go to ecampus.oregonstate.edu for the rest of the courses see www.youtube.com 1. The chemiosmotic hypothesis, originally proposed by Peter Mitchell, explains how mitochondria make ATP in oxidative phosphorylation. Important aspects of it include: a. Intact inner mitochondrial membrane b. Electron transport creates a proton gradient c. ATP is made by movement of protons back into the mitochondria 2. Coupling of electron transport and oxidative phosphorylation at a practical level means that the mitochondrial inner membrane remains impermeable to protons, except for those that enter via the ATP synthase and result in ATP production. 3. The ATP synthase consists of a turbine-like structure containing 3 sites called Loose (L), Tight (T), and Open (O). Functions of these forms include L - Holds ADP and Pi in preparation for ATP formation O - Releases ATP formed in T and binds ADP + Pi T - Causes ADP and Pi to join and form ATP 4. Movement of protons through the ATP synthase cases rotation/conformational changes in the complex that result in formation of ATP from ADP and Pi. Conversions in the process occur as follows: O goes to L L goes to T T goes to O 5. Mitochondria which are "tightly coupled" have intact membranes AND the only way protons get back into the matrix is by passing through Complex V. If you poke a hole in the <b>...</b>

The Man Who Lost His Body

This clip is from the 1998 BBC documentary entitled "The Man Who Lost His Body." The film follows Ian Waterman, who at 19 caught a virus that destroyed half of his nervous system, and robbed him of his proprioception. As a result, Ian is unable to mentally sense the relative positions of his limbs in space and whether or not they are in motion. The medical establishment believed that he would never walk again, but through sheer will-power Ian has been able to develop new neural pathways that enable him to function relatively normally. en.wikipedia.org The majority of movements and processes in a healthy adult are carried out unconsciously. However, because of Ian's disorder, he must deliberately focus all of his efforts on even the simplest of tasks (such as sitting up or displaying hand gestures). The full BBC documentary can be found here: Part 1: www.veoh.com Part 2: www.veoh.com

The Role of Insulin in the Human Body

Developed and produced by www.MechanismsinMedicine.com Animation Description This patient-friendly animation describes the main role of insulin in the human body. When food is ingested, it travels along the digestive tract where it is broken down into its component nutrients in order to be absorbed into the bloodstream. One such nutrient is glucose, a simple sugar. Glucose gets absorbed by the stomach and intestines and then enters the bloodstream. It travels through the circulation to all body cells. Once absorbed into the bloodstream, glucose circulates causing the blood sugar level to rise. An increased level of blood sugar sends a signal to the pancreatic beta cells, which respond by secreting the hormone insulin into the circulation. Insulin is necessary for glucose to reach and be used by several important target tissues throughout the body. These include the liver, muscle, and adipose tissue. Insulin is necessary to keep blood glucose levels stable in the body. Circulating insulin binds to specific insulin receptors located on the cell membrane of tissue cells throughout the body. Upon binding, a signal is sent to the nucleus of the cell, instructing it to transport glucose channels to the cell surface. These channels allow glucose to enter the cell. Glucose enters the cell through a process called facilitated diffusion.

Pineal Gland 101: Mysteries of the Pineal Gland

Pineal Gland 101: Mysteries of the Pineal Gland The pineal gland was the last endocrine gland to have its function discovered. Its location deep in the brain seemed to indicate its importance. This combination led to its being a "mystery" gland with myth, superstition and even metaphysical theories surrounding its perceived function. The pineal gland is occasionally associated with the sixth chakra (also called Ajna or the third eye chakra in yoga). It is believed by some to be a dormant organ that can be awakened to enable "telepathic" communication. In the physical body the eye views objects upside down. It sends the image of what it observes to the brain which interprets the image and makes it appear right side-up to us. But the human body has another physical eye whose function has long been recognized by humanity. It is called the 'Third Eye' which in reality is the Pineal Gland. It is long thought to have mystical powers. Many consider it the Spiritual Third Eye, our Inner Vision.

The Spill Canvas - Take One Breath

The Spill Canvas - Take One Breath - Scraps LP Lyrics You gotta start trying to eat again Even though the only thing you hunger for Is to have back your friend You gotta do your head above the water Even though time seems irrelevant now And you're more than sick of this pain inside your chest If this house would collapse ontop of me The space would still remain Much like her body refusing to function Her soul won't go away Take one breath and then take another Repeat these simple steps Until you feel like you're doing better. Take one breath Let the calm of it consume you Everybody knows that it's never fair There's really only one thing we can do You gotta keep your head above the water Even though sweet suffocation is a fine temptation You'll always be her daughter. You gotta push onward through the day Keep your mind constantly running You gotta let the sun in She would have wanted it that way If this house would collapse ontop of me The space would still remain Much like her body refusing to function Her soul won't go away Take one breath and then take another Repeat these simple steps Until you feel like you're doing better. Take one breath Let the calm of it consume you Everybody knows that it's never fair There's really only one thing we can do At 4am when you are wide awake and fighting with yourself There's about a thousand numbers to dial Including mine if you need help. There is no easy way to deal with these events But if it's any consolation I will be here <b>...</b>

Diabetes Patient Education Types of insulin

www.PreOp.com Diabetes Patient Education Insulin is the hormone normally made in the pancreas that stimulates the flow of sugar - glucose - from the blood into the cells of the body. Glucose provides the cells with the energy they need to function. There are two main groups of insulins used in the treatment of diabetes human insulins and analog insulins, made by recombinant DNA technology. Daniel Amen - Change Your Brain Change Your Life 1-8

Daniel Amen, MD, one of the world's foremost authorities on the brain, has news for you: your brain is involved in everything you do—learn to care for it properly, and you will be smarter, healthier, and happier in as little as 15 days! You probably run, lift weights, or do yoga to keep your body in great shape; you put on sunscreen and lotions to protect your skin; but chances are you simply ignore your brain and trust it to do its job. People unknowingly endanger or injure their brains, stress them by working at a frenzied pace and not getting enough sleep, pollute them with caffeine, alcohol, and drugs, and deprive them of proper nutrients. Brain dysfunction is the number one reason people fail at school, work, and relationships. The brain is the organ of learning, working, and loving—the supercomputer that runs our lives. It's very simple: when our brains work right, we work right—and when our brains have trouble, we have trouble in our lives. In this age of do-it-yourself health care (heck, if the doctor only sees you for 10 minutes each visit, what other options are there?), Change Your Brain, Change Your Life fits in perfectly. Filled with "brain prescriptions" (among them cognitive exercises and nutritional advice) that are geared toward readers who've experienced anxiety, depression, impulsiveness, excessive anger or worry, and obsessive behavior, Change Your Brain, Change Your Life milks the mind-body connection for all it's worth. Arcturian and Andromedan Encoding

More About Lyra Lyra is the 12th dimensional star-gate. It is the gateway to higher dimensions outside of the 12 dimensional energy matrix of which the Earth is part. Currently the Earthy exits within a three dimensional wave form pattern of energy. The first dimension relates to the inner Earth kingdom and the second dimension to the Great Central Sun. Star-gates or inter-dimensional energy portals have been progressively opening and allowing ever higher dimensional energy into Earths atmosphere since January 2000. These star-gates will continue to progessively open until December 2012, affecting the Earths energy fields and preparing the Earth grids for a shift to a fifth dimensional energy patterning. These star gates are: 4th dimension Sun or Sol 5th dimension Pleiades 6th dimension Sirius 7th dimension Arcturus 8th dimension Orion 9th dimension Andromeda 10th dimension Lyra/Vega 11th dimension Lyra/Vega 12th dimension Lyra The purpose of embodied souls on Earth is to return to the fullest expression of their soul potential within the 12 dimensional system. In doing so they return to the pure image of Adamic creation. (creation in the form of Adam or the Atom). But this not all. Our purpose is to now move beyond this 12 dimensional energy matrix through a 13th aeon or 13th stargate. Within the Song of Lyra are the keys and codes of light, sound and vibration which will enable the DNA patterning to change and therefore the cells of the body to begin to be rebuilt <b>...</b>
