WARSAW, Poland — A Boeing 767 from Newark carrying 230 passengers made an emergency landing in Warsaw after its landing gear failed to open. Leszek Chorzewski, the spokesman for LOT, the Polish airline that operated the flight, said none of the passengers was injured. "All safety procedures worked perfectly fine and, thanks to this, nobody was injured," Chorzewski said. Live television footage showed the plane landing on its belly, with a few sparks flying as the craft hit the runway which had been covered with flame retardant foam. There was no blaze but firefighters hosed the plane with water and foam as a precautionary measure. Passengers could be seen fleeing the plane.

Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 767-260ER crash footage

This Boeing 767-260ER belonging to Ethiopian Airlines was en route from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to Nairobi, Kenya, on November 23rd 1996. 172 passengers and crew were onboard. The plane was hijacked by three Ethiopians seeking political asylum in Australia, and asking the crew to fly to Australia. The pilot explained they had only taken on the fuel needed for the scheduled flight and thus could not even make a quarter of the journey, but the hijackers did not believe him. The pilot secretly headed for the Comoro Islands, which lie midway between Madagascar and the African mainland. The plane eventually ran out of fuel. A fight with the hijackers prevented the crew to land on Comores aiport. The pilot tried to ditch the aircraft in shallow waters 500 metres off the coast. The plane left engine and wingtip struck the water first. The left engine then struck a coral reef, slowing that side of the aircraft quickly, causing the Boeing 767 to violently spin left and break apart. 122 of the 172 people on board were killed, along with the hijackers. The other 50 survived with injuries. _________________________ Feel free to comment, rate and subscribe :).

AviationExplorer.com - LOT Polish Airlines Boeing 767-300 flight 16 from Newark NJ to Warsaw Poland with 220 passengers and 11 crew, was on approach to Warsaw's runway 33 when the crew aborted the approach at 3000 feet reporting an unsafe landing gear indication for all three landing gear struts. The aircraft entered a holding pattern to troubleshoot the problem for about 75 minutes. Visual verification by F-16 aircraft showed none of the landing gear was down and attempts to lower the gear alternatively failed. The jet landed on its belly in Warsaw after its landing gear failed to retract, triggering sparks and small fires. About 30 minutes after departure from Newark the crew reported the failure of the center hydraulic system.

Delta 767 Crash 7/14/11

BOSTON — The wing of a Delta jet clipped the tail of an aircraft that provides regional air service for the carrier while both planes were on the taxiway and preparing to fly out of Boston on Thursday evening, forcing officials to remove them from service for inspections. Local TV footage show the crash sheared off the tip of the Delta Boeing 767 and crumpled part of the smaller plane's tail. Boston Logan International Airport spokesman Phil Orlandella said one person is complaining of neck pain after the crash. There were no other injuries. The incident involved Delta Flight 266 from Boston to Amsterdam which hit the vertical stabilizer of Atlantic Southeast Airlines Flight 4904, also on departure from Boston to Raleigh-Durham, Delta spokesman Trebor Banstetter said. Investigators were talking to crew and passengers of both aircraft, trying to figure out the circumstances surrounding the crash, Orlandella said. The Delta jet returned to the gate and ASA passengers were transported by bus to the terminal. Atlanta-based Delta says both aircraft have been removed from service for inspections. Passengers are being put on other planes..!!

On the 23rd February 2008, an American Airlines plane carrying 195 passengers made an emergency landing at Manchester Airport. The Chicago-bound flight 55 was thought to have been an hour into its journey from Manchester to Chicago O'Hare when a crew member spotted a problem with hydraulics in the landing gear. Commercial Level Simulations' Boeing 767'

Hey guys, pretty fast after my last video, here's another one. This time I decided to make a video, not about an airport, but about one particular airplane, in this case the CLS 767. Commercial Level Simulations did an amazing job on creating this aircraft! It is kinda an FPS eater, but concerning the amount of details on the bird, that's no problem. Flying this bird is quite a challenge, she needs alot of attention! Since early 2008 CLS has been working on the Boeing 767. Creating a high quality and highly detailed package for all flight sim fans to enjoy. The package is more then complete with both the 767-200 and 767-300 modelled. The base package includes 24 liveries! The base package consists of all regular passenger models. The expansion package will include the beautiful winglet version, AWACS, Tanker and the cargo variants. Obviously, these all come with detailed textures. This is the official expansion package for our award winning Boeing 767 product. The original product is required. This package will add a great number of additional models to our B767, including AWACS, Tanker, Cargo and winglet models. Here's the description of the two products I used for this video. The 767 Base package, and the Expansion. Both are well worth their money! I got some of the liveries used in this video from the web, but most come with the plane. I hope you enjoy the video, leave a comment and give a thumbs up. Oh, and subscribing is free you know! Check out this channel: www ...
