
La Habra Heights, CA - Cameras rolled once again as the local water district held it's monthly board meeting. But this time the camera may have also caught evidence of public wrongdoing. The December meeting of the La Habra Heights Water Board marks the fourth consecutive meeting captured on video and placed on You Tube by TheAvocadoExpress.com. The Water District had enjoyed what some of its board members refer to as "flying under the radar", for years. Yet, lately the District has been embroiled in public scrutiny over a controversial deal to traffic water for neighboring Rowland Water District. Some now fear a take over by the much larger water district may be in the works. The regular meeting on December 13th began at 4:00pm and continued until Board president Brad Cooke adjourned the meeting at 5:25 pm, at which point ratepayers, local residents and media outlets exited the water district's boardroom. But at least two attendees took note that all five board members and two water district staff members remained in the room and made no effort to leave. Later, through an open window, the board was observed still seated and appeared to be in some sort of discussion. Twenty- two minutes elapsed before the camera returned to conference room finding the entire board still seated and in discussion.
