It portrays a young woman's inner conflict dealing with an abusive relationship. The woman (portrayed by Katelyn Rosaasen) closes off to the rest of the world, represented with the special effects of crystals forming around her. By the end, the crystals recede, symbolizing her success in fighting the relationship. The band is said to be performing in a Fortress of Solitude. Chester's labret piercing is meant to match with the girls septum ring because of the real meaning behind the song. This video was supposed to have a "darker" ending to it when the first synopsis was written, being a take on Species where a psycho fan kills the band, but Warner Brothers rejected the idea, and the final ending was written in its place.

Film directed and Produced by Greg and Colin Strause Otherwise known as The Brothers Strause In the sci-fi thriller, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the earth. Skyline stars Eric Balfour, Donald Faison, Scottie Thompson and Brittany Daniel. They decided to make Skyline when they saw the success of Paranormal Activity. They also own the special effects house Hydraulx the film. They said the entire movie was made with only a crew of about 20 people, which made for a very rewarding and intimate situation. Even the actors took risks. Because there were only a couple in people in charge (the directors, a producer and 2 writers) there was no one to report to or to say "no" when they rigged up the leads to hang over a building. One of my favourite things about going to the cinema, is hearing other people's reactions at the end of the screening. Whether I'm covertly listening in to other couples' conversations or waiting for the attention seeker to shout their opinion once the credits roll, I like to see if others hate or love the same things as me. In the case of Skyline; I have never heard such a loud, collective groan in my life. Skyline is a poor man's Independance Day with a few scenes from Cloverfield and District 9 thrown in just to avoid copyright issues. It follows a group of people in a high rise penthouse apartment who wake up one morning to see that the world is under attack from aliens. Large motherships have descended from the sky and sent out alien minions to seek out and harvest humans. Stop me if you've heard this one before. Upon looking at the flying aliens (the design of which was lifted from the Matrix) people become attracted by bright light sand sucked up via a huge tractor beam. Throughout the feature we follow Turk from Scrubs, an unknown actor with the longest face ever committed to film and their wives as they pray for survival. Along the way they meet the apartment complex's manager, otherwise known as the Mexican Samuel L Jackson. Skyline is directed by the Brothers Strause who have a prestigious career in special effects. This time I review the second of the two AVP films, which takes place not that long after the end of the first one (hours or a day I guess). The Predalien from the first one has caused the Predator ship to crash in the mountains outside a small American town. When the news reaches the predator world they send Wolf, a hunter who specializes in cleaning up matters like this, to take care of it.
