Tool Assisted Speedrun I new TAS I made of a relatively unkonw (I think) game, the full name is Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind. Not as entertaining as the other stuff I have so far uploaded here but it's decent at least. Tool Assisted - these games are played using a emulator at super slow speeds and save states. Bubsy (original) full game (part 1 of 17)

A full game of "Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind" (Sega Genesis version) is played. Although I have roughly 4000 hours' play time for this particular game, almost all of that is spent playing around rather than playing the actual game in a normal way. One major thing I enjoy is that fact that some enemies when gliding upon landing on them, allow for extreme height and great speed due to speed falling. While I'd normally pause the game a lot to perform these stunts, I avoid it as much as possible. The few times it does happen are purely accidental. Despite not pausing the game frequently, I rack up tons of lives during the first 9 levels, then remain about the same (in the 60's) throughout the other 7 levels. There is a class 6 (severe) bug where, if you pass something around 79 or 80 lives, the game essentially "resets" - you have no score, 9 lives, and start at the beginning of the level. Because some levels are of little interest, I have more difficulties with these. The most familiar levels are 1 (all), 2 (first 1200 px), 4 (first 75%), 7 (all), 8 (all), 10 (first 80% especially), 11 (somewhat), and 13 (first 80%). For the unfamiliar areas, I'm more prone to making mistakes (and thus, losing lives). Because this video spans over 2 1/2 hours, it is split into 17 segments of roughly 10 minutes each (to work around YouTube's 10-minute limitation).

Bubsy the Bobcat: "What Could Possibly Go Wrong?"

In 1993, Calico Productions created an animated cartoon pilot episode based off the Bubsy the Bobcat game series. In the Bubsy games, before the level begins Bubsy would make a crack about the theme of the level. In the first game, "Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind", Bubsy's first crack is "What could possibly go wrong?" The writers of the Bubsy pilot probably thought it would be a good idea for this to be Bubsy's main catchphrase. (Indeed, the pilot episode is named "What Could Possibly Go Wrong?") Bubsy seems intent on repeating the catchphrase (which seems like a bit of a jinx) to the audience over and over, much to the chagrin of his (supposed) friend Arnold. Video edited by me. Inspired by 'Excuse me, Princess!' :)

Bubsy (1992) [SNES]

One of the most unfair games ever created. Cheap deaths are quite common. Bubsy is a series of video games created by Michael Berlyn and released by Accolade for the SNES, Mega Drive/Genesis, Atari Jaguar, the PC and PlayStation in the early and mid-1990s. Though the games were platform games similar to Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog, the eponymous anthropomorphic bobcat never came close to the popularity level of the two bigger name mascots, despite early hype that made Bubsy out as "the next Sonic the Hedgehog." Nevertheless, the first Bubsy was a big hit and met with positive reviews for the SNES version. The success of the first game spawned a series of Bubsy games, though none of them were able to reproduce the success and acclaim of the first game. Bubsy also had a pilot episode for an animated series in 1993, produced by Calico Creations. In the first game, Bubsy was voiced by Brian Silva. In the cartoon, Bubsy II and Fractured Furry Tales, he was voiced by Rob Paulsen. In Bubsy 3D, he was voiced by Lani Minella. The first Bubsy game was released in May 1993 by Accolade for the SNES, and later for the Genesis. The plot focuses on a race of fabric-stealing aliens called "Woolies", who have stolen the world's yarn ball supply (especially Bubsy's, who owns the world's largest collection). Naturally, Bubsy does not take too kindly to the theft and sets out to "humble" the Woolies. The game features five main worlds with three levels in each, and a final level ...

Buy this game at www.PLAYEVA.com The Woolies have invaded Earth to steal the world's supply of yarnballs, and it's up to Busby the Bobcat to stop them. In this side-scrolling platformer, you play as Busy running, jumping, and stomping your way through five crazy worlds. There are 16 levels with an average of 300 screens per stage, which means this game will keep you busy for hours on end. Thankfully, a password system saves your progress so you won't have to start over every time you play. BUBSY also employs great graphics, entertaining sound effects, and seven music tracks to keep your adrenaline pumping as you hunt down the Woolies and retrieve the yarnballs. Trashy Games #43: Bubsy 3D (PS1)

It's finally here... the worst PS1 game ever made to which SpaceNinja once again provided footage of this, after he got around many problems when recording it. There are a myriad of things wrong with this game. The hideous graphics, Bubsy's obnoxious voice which is far worse than Awesome Possum's, mundane gameplay, shoddy controls, and that scratching noise that occurs in the game's background music. I don't even know if it's part of the music or not but it's so annoying to listen to. The first two stages of this game are shown (and with the five-minute intro is truncated), although you can have a look at Stanburdman's spot-on review on this game where it explains everything ~ www.youtube.com

BTW this is a very early episode, like the second or third one I ever did, hence why it's not as tight as later ones. Also you can probably tell by my voice as I've lost weight since then.

A collection of 18 bugs in the original Bubsy (part 1 of 2)

This is a collection of 18 bugs in the original Bubsy (Genesis version), some of which you may not have known about. Two of which are quite bad (a class 5 and a class 6). While this isn't every bug, it's a good chunk of them. The video spans 16 minutes and is split into 2 segments. The first segment has the first nine bugs while the second has the other nine. The annotations will help explain how these bugs are reproduced. The bugs are as follows, in order: Bug 1: Background stops moving (class 1) Bug 2: Hidden ground tunnel (faulty collision; class 3) Bug 3: The extreme vibrating scene (class 2) Bug 4: Dizzy on a water slide (class 2) Bug 5: Drowning on a bridge (class 2) Bug 6: In water, but no splash (class 1) Bug 7: Beyond the far left side of the level (class 3) Bug 8: Drawing errors when faster than 32 px/fr (class 4) Bug 9: Faster than expected horizontal speed (class 2) Bug 10: Can jump while still in a door way (class 1) Bug 11: Falling through the land (faulty collision; class 4) Bug 12: Extra cheese wheels (class 2) Bug 13: Drawing errors after using a door (class 3) Bug 14: Tacks harmless with black shirt's effects (class 2) Bug 15: Railway drawing errors when scrolling up (class 1) Bug 16: Standing in mid-air (class 3) Bug 17: Land on platform with no time = crash (class 6) Bug 18: Checkpoint+woolie+death = spawn death (class 5) Bugs are rated on a 0 to 8 scale where 0 is harmless and 8 is the most severe (destructive). 5 and up is in the realm of crashers ...

Bubsy SNES version full game (village pt 1/3)

This is a full game of the SNES version of my most played game, the original Bubsy. I was so eager to play it for the game's audio, but also to see what differences there were between it and the more familiar Genesis version. This is the first take and I only allowed one take so I can accurately relive the experience. The village world isn't too bad and I easily rack up a lot of lives right away. Its music, of which I call "Village Zone", is slightly worse here, mostly due to the looping problems. I like the Genesis version of "Village Zone" nearly twice as much.

Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales - Atari Jaguar

Bubsy for the Jag isn't exactly the most sought-after game, however it's really only because of its difficulty. There is, however, one Jaguar fan who can seriously take on Bubsy and he's done a bunch of videos for each level, if I remember correctly. doctorclu is the Bubsy master and nothing can stand in his way. Search for him here on youtube. I found the game fun for the little that I played it. It has some difficult controls, but docclu makes it look easy. There are some nice pre-rendered graphics as well. Give it a try.

Bubsy 3D - playing the 2-player level in 1-player mode

If you played the 2-player level in Bubsy 3D, you may be familiar with it. Did you know that you can actually play this level in one-player mode? There's no way to leave the level without quitting the level (pausing then going from there), but with at least 20 rockets and numerous atoms, along with some mountain-climbing, try to see if you can find them all or get as many as you can. Believe it or not, you can actually play this 2 player level as if it was a level in 1-player mode. The first part of the video shows you how to do it and it simply involves using the password. The first is obvious - XDBUGLOCNC, which not only allows you to see the coordinates upon pausing the game, but, it also allows you to start from any position in any level. The password system, for position setting (and as shown on the pause menu above the score), is as follows: XABBCCDDEE X - always X A - the level (B, strangely enough, is missing but C and onward are present until after some point (U or VI think)). U is for the 2-player level. BB - the X position divided by 32 CC - the Y position (height, my favorite) DD - the Z position divided by 32 EE - the direction Bubsy is facing (AA is east (X positive), EA is north (Y positive), IA or YA is west (X negative), and 3A is south (Y negative). After IA to before YA will cause the game to crash due to a class 6 bug. Warning: do not set coordinates that are outside of the level's boundaries or the game will freeze due to a class 6 bug. The position I ...

Bubsy 3D boss fights

Bubsy 3D has 4 bosses, two in one level. In this video, I show you the bosses and defeat each of them. For those who haven't gotten much beyond level 3, you've likely never seen these. The last bosses are both in the final level and I do the entire level rather quickly. While it seems as though I don't lose paw points, it's because I have over 200 and only the hundreds and tens places are shown. In the second boss fight, after the boss was defeated, I deliberately went into the electric fence as there seems to be a strange bug when I do so, normally not present otherwise. The final boss battle is where the 239 paw points really come in handy as it's quite common that I take as many as 20 hits. The second-to-last boss battle is a strange one considering that, if you can get the first strike, you can get the other two within barely 3 seconds making it almost effortless and is the fastest boss battle in the game (the first is the next fastest). I've had boss battles in other games last under a second so it's not the fastest.
