BUK M1.wmv

The Buk missile system is a family of self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile systems developed by the former Soviet Union and Russian Federation and designed to engage cruise missiles, smart bombs, fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The Buk missile system is the successor to the NIIP/Vympel 2K12 Kub. The first version of Buk adopted into service carried the GRAU designation 9K37 and was identified in the west with the NATO reporting name "Gadfly" as well as the US Department of Defense designation SA-11. Since its initial introduction into service the Buk missile system has been continually upgraded and refined with the latest incarnation carrying the designation 9K37M2 "Buk-M2".

the Tor-M1 missile system is an all-weather low to medium altitude, short-range surface-to-air missile system designed for engaging airplanes, helicopters, cruise missiles, precision guided munitions, unmanned aerial vehicles and ballistic targets. The system is commonly known by NATO as the, SA-15 "Gauntlet". Tor was also the first air defence system in the world designed from the start to shoot down precision guided weapons like the AGM-86 ALCM. The missile used on the Tor-M1 is the 9M330 model Weighing in at 368 lbs. the 9M330 missile is 11.5 feet long, carries a 33 lbs. warhead and has a max speed of around Mach 2.8 Utilizing command guidance and radar controlled proximity fuzes the 9M330 missiles can maneuver at up to 30 G's and engage targets flying at up to Mach 2. Cold launched the missiles are propelled out of the vehicle before the solid fuel rocket motor fires and the gas-dynamic maneuvering system turns them toward their target. The Tor-M1 can also fire against surface targets. Syrian President Bashar Assad arrived in Russia on Thursday for a two-day visit during which he is seeking to purchase advanced weaponry from Moscow including the Pantsyr-S1 Air Defense Missile system, the BUK-M1 surface-to-air medium-range missile system and the sophisticated S-300 long range anti-aircraft missile system already purchased by Iran. Syria has also reportedly offered to allow Moscow to deploy its Russian Iskander missile system, an advanced short-range, solid fuel-propelled missile, in its territory. The new Russo-Syrian military cooperation comes in reaction to the recent US-Poland missile deal which positions NATO missile systems on Russia's western front, eliciting harsh threats and criti

Russian Main Battle Tank T-90

The T-90 is a Russian main battle tank (MBT) derived from the T-72, and is currently the most modern tank in service with the Russian Ground Forces, Naval Infantry and the Indian Army. The successor to the T-72BM, the T-90 uses the gun and 1G46 gunner sights from the T-80U, a new engine, and thermal sights. Protective measures include Kontakt-5 ERA, laser warning receivers, the EMT-7 electromagnetic pulse (EMP) creator for the destruction of magnetic mines[4] and the Shtora infrared ATGM jamming system. It is designed and built by Uralvagonzavod, in Nizhny Tagil, Russia. By 1992, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that it could no longer afford to manufacture two main battle tanks in parallel.[5] Since both the "quality" T-80U and the cheaper "quantity" T-72B were being built at different plants, and each plant was critical to the economy of its city, the government gave small orders to both. Omsk built five T-80Us and Nizhni Tagil 15 T-72s, and both built more in the hopes of winning large export orders. Nizhni Tagil had built a few T-72BMs, T-72Bs upgraded with a third generation add-on explosive reactive armour (ERA) called Kontakt-5, which was already in service on the T-80U. To further improve the T-72's export prospects and its chances of being selected as Russia's sole production MBT, the T-80U's more sophisticated fire control system was also added to produce a vehicle designated T-72BU. Victory Day Parade edit 2010. Part-1: Armour / День Победы 2010. часть 1: Броня

Moscow victory day parade in Red Square 2010. Part-1: Armour День Победы 2010, Москва. часть 1: броня The 2010 parade was the largest parade held in Moscow since 1991, and saw 11135 troops, 127 aircraft and helicopters, and the new Topol-M mobile ICBM missile system, taking part. For the first time, the 2010 parade also included military units from foreign countries who were allied with the Soviet Union during World War II, with representation from France, Poland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). S-300 & S-400 Air Defence

Song: In Extremo - Liam The Russian S-300 and S-400 are long range anti-air systems designed to engage targets such as cruise missiles, aircraft, and ballistic missiles. S-400: The development of the S-400 system began in the late 1990s. The system was formally announced by the Russian Air Force in January 1999. On 12 February 1999, the first tests were performed at Kapustin Yar in Astrakhan which were reported successful. As a result of this, the S-400 entered service with the Russian Army in 2007. S-400 is capable of tracking over 100 targets and engaging 6 simultaneously at ranges up-to 400km (250mi). The S-400's capabilities over shadow the American MIM-104 PAC-3 Patriot system, and even top the S-300. Russia currently operates 3 battalions, and will arm 4 others by years end. (2010) S-300: The S-300 system was first deployed by the Soviet Union in 1979, designed for the air defense of large industrial and administrative facilities, military bases, and control of airspace against enemy strike aircraft. Its radars have the ability to simultaneously track up to 100 targets while engaging up to 12. S-300 deployment time is five minutes. An S-300/400 unit is made up of several vehicles. 1.) S-300/400 launch vehicle. 2.) 64N6E2 detection radar vehicle. 3.) 54K6E2 command post and 5P85 TEL. The 30N6 FLAP LID A is mounted on a small trailer. The 64N6 BIG BIRD is mounted on a large trailer along with a generator and typically towed with the now familiar 8-wheeled truck. The ...
