Angry, drunken revellers ran wild on Wednesday night after the Vancouver Canucks' 4-0 loss to Boston in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, setting cars and garbage cans ablaze, smashing windows, showering giant TV screens with beer bottles and dancing atop overturned vehicles. Later, looters smashed windows and ran inside department stores. There were no immediate indications of injuries, although images were shown on television of at least one woman mopping blood from her forehead. Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson praised the police and firefighters and asked people to stay away from the central downtown area. Tear gas mingled with the stench of acrid smoke and stale beer as riot police, truncheons drawn, moved in to quell the violence, pushing crowds away from the burning cars. Later, police cars also were set on fire.

But when you've got more than 250 official complaints registered with the Ministry of the Environment, and Facebook websites are springing up to track the noise, there's clearly something going on. So why can't anybody figure it out? It was months ago when folks first started talking about the strange sounds and pulsing sensations that seemed to be emanating from beneath homes all across Windsor and Essex County. One woman said it felt like being underground in Union Station, with trains passing overhead. The house would vibrate. The windows would rattle. It left her feeling unsteady on her feet and made her ears hum. Someone suggested she might be suffering from tinnitus. Others thought she was crazy, until the neighbours admitted to hearing and feeling the same thing. Everybody who's experienced the rumblings has a similar description. The reports are strikingly consistent. Since this video has been getting so many views, and ppl have been asking the same questions, I figured Id explain a couple things here. This video was sent to me by someone on facebook. I dont know who the guy is, what the aftermath was, or which crossing this was at. Im noticing something from all the comments tho. For the most part, it seems like the ppl who have the menatality that "everything is OK", that the war on terror is real, that osama brought the towers down, that terrorists hate us for our 'freedoms' and are hell bent on destroying us all... you know, that whole false paradigm way of thinking.. these people for the most part have this attitude that the guy got what he deserved; that he shouldve just stfu, sat down, and complied. I have a problem with that tho, and thats mainly because these agencies, these ppl, these govt's, are supposed to work for us, the people. Not the other way around. This guys job is not to treat other humans like dogs. They are not there to treat us all like potential criminals, like pieces of shit that have no rights, and should feel privilidged to even be able to travel to the US. It isnt to act like complete dicks, trying to get a reaction... which is exactly what went on here. That cop was looking for this reaction, and escalated it from the second the interview started. Just because this guy gave them a little attitude back, they couldnt take that, so they got pissed off and arrested him. and to make matters worse they tell him <b>...</b>
