Video tour of Slave Lake - Two Days After the Fire - CTV Edmonton

CTV Edmonton's photographers were once again given the opportunity to tour the town of Slave Lake on Tuesday May 17, 2011...just two days after a series of devastating wildfires swept through the tiny community. Some 7000 people who evacuated the town Sunday night are now in temporary shelters set up across the province. These people are safe and most just want to know if they have a home to return to when they're allowed back into town. From everything that CTV television has been able to witness, it's clear that the fire was indiscriminate in it's destruction. Yet the undying spirit of Albertans and Canadians is helping to push back the flames so the people of Slave Lake can soon return to their town and rebuild their lives.
