Paramount's Captain America the first avenger focuses on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers played by Chris Evans volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carter to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull! Sounds pretty kick ass, but lets hear what the critics had to say about the Marvel flick before you head out to the theatres when it releases on July 22nd! The movie scored 54% on rotten tomatoes with reviews all over the board...some liked it, some loved it, and some even hated it. Peter Debluge from Variety said the flick was red, white and bland.
