Dignan Porch - Like it was
From Tooting, South West London, Dignan Porch started as the home recording project of Joe Walsh. After signing to Captured Tracks they put out the first single 'On a Ride', the ninety second psyche-pop mini anthem. The single was followed swiftly by the release of Joe's home made LP 'Tendrils', also on Captured Tracks. These releases garnered acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork, Vice, Rough Trade and many more. The now 5-piece Dignan have recently toured the UK with Times New Viking and gigged with the likes of Tickley Feather, The Intelligence, Lovvers, Lets Wrestle, Veronica Falls, Blank Dogs, Yuck, Smith Westerns and Ty Segall. Dignan Porch have been praised for their explosive live shows by The Fly and Drowned in Sound: 'fuzz-infused lo-fi punk that gives many of their US contemporaries a serious run for the money' For their latest Captured Tracks EP 'Deluded' Dignan Porch stepped into a studio with the full band, plus Henry Withers from Lovvers working the desk. The EP caused excitement on the blogosphere, gaining much praise from sites such as The Line of Best Fit: 'Joe Walsh and the gang manage to capture a truly thrilling ride without letting up on the honesty. Smith said the change comes "out of respect" for "the original Dive," a Belgian industrial band formed in the early 1990s by Dirk Ivens. Veronica Falls - "Found Love in a Graveyard": SXSW 2011 Showcasing Artist
Veronica Falls formed in 2009 from the ashes of The Royal We and Sexy Kids. Bizarrely the band had their myspace site up for only an hour before they were contacted by Blank Dogs kingpin Mike Sniper, who snapped up their debut release for his influential Captured Tracks label. The band released their debut UK single, "Found Love In A Graveyard", on Trouble Records (Kasms, Crystal Castles, HEALTH, Male Bonding etc), followed by Beachy Head on tastemaker label No Pain In Pop (Telepathe, Forest Swords, Trailer Trash Tracys). They write serene pop nuggets: think C-86 reverentially smothered in dark 60s psyche-pop.

We are so excited to debut our newest Room 205 episode with Craft Spells. Toward the end of 2009, in a bedroom in Stockton, CA, a 21-year-old Justin Vallesteros began layering simple synth and guitar lines to create the sound that would become Craft Spells. What began as an experiment soon became a vibrant world of elegant guitar chords laced over looped rhythms, heavenly synth melodies, and pulsating bass. When Vallesteros recorded his first track "Party Talk," an outpouring of online enthusiasm led him to return to his native Seattle and flesh out a full band for the debut LP Idle Labor, released on Captured Tracks in Spring 2011.
