The genre of Catherine is hard to define however gameplay wise, story wise or character progression, it's all very hard to put a label on it however it is one thing it is a horror game. And although not a classic survival horror it still is a great game. The gameplay at heart is a puzzle game. In my opinion Catherine is a breath of fresh air and you should definitely get it!
