This happened to a Chinook while out in Kuwait. The details of how the accident happened I do not know. I was just one of the three to help it land. At the end of the video the Safety Officer is asking for a copy of the video. He states, "I want a copy of that alright... Seriously, it'd be great training."

Micro CH-47 Helicopter battery Experiment. Syma Chinook Will it work?
I was around CH 46 Sea Knight helicopters the entire 33 years I was in the Marine Corps I buy it. I have 3, all from XHeli. When I decided to fly the smallest today (Micro SYMA SO26G), I found the stock battery pretty tired. So, I opened it up and found that a 180 mAh, but a 250 or even a 500 mAh single cell will fit. I would say the 250 would be optimum, but I did not have one, so stuck in the E-Flite version. As you can see, it works very well. I love these twin rotored helicopters as I have been around them all my life. This is a tiny version by Emax and I really enjoy flying it, but only after I modded my Transmitter, to conform with all my other helis. I did that by putting the tail rotor control back on the left stick, as it is with all Mode II helicopter radios. I got this from Xheli.com. Here is a link for you to check availability. www.dpbolvw.net It flies a good 10 minutes on a single cell battery. Pros: Cute, flies nice once controls figured out. Cons: The charger that came with it, did not work well, so I have been charging it on my Triton Charger with no problem. Also, the rear top rotor blade and the front flybar weight were touching in flight, so I cut 1/32 off the blades of the rear rotor and now it flies fine. Fixing this and flying with gentle fingers will provide lots of fun for $50. Thanks for watching and subscribing. Dave

PS If you're naive enough to believe that this is how we actually work then please keep your comments to yourselves; the cab was serviceable and nothing was done to cause any flight safety issues. The team carried out full checks, ensuring she was ready to go. No Chinooks were harmed during the making of this video... and the teams sanity was saved for another couple of days.

3 channel micro Chinook for only 24 dollars, definitely wort
The Syma s026 3 channel Micro palm sized Chinook is amazing. You can pick one up from www.xheli.com for only $24.95 Direct link to the helicopter www.xheli.com Shipping was about 9 dollars and took less then a week. Flight times are around 8 minutes; charge times are pretty long, 45 minutes to an hour. The helicopter is infra red controlled and is a fully functional 3 channel helicopter. It has a stable hover, very fast forward and reverse flight speed, and its easy to control. For 24 dollars you get the 3 channel helicopter, a 3 channel transmitter a wall charger for the helicopter and an instruction manual. The transmitter has a knob in the center for adjusting the yaw (spin) trim. It is very sensitive and only needs slight movements to affect the spin. The transmitter also has buttons on the upper left and right hand side for adjusting the forward reverse trim; its also a good way to increase forward flight speed. Its the fastest 3 channel helicopter Ive flown so far, and one of the most stable. Its definitely worth the 24 dollars x heli is charging for it. I would like it to come with spare rotor blades, and a quicker recharge time, but it is so much fun and looks so good that it is worth it.
