Kerry Christensen is not your typical yodeler. His concerts and events this year will take him to as many as 23 US states and two or three countries internationally. Kerry spent two years in the country of Austria right out of high school. There he became interested in the Alpine yodeling art. After mastering this difficult medium he was asked in l983 to move his six member family to Orlando, Florida and use his yodeling skills at Walt Disney World's Epcot Center. He performed there for almost seven years until 1990. Today Kerry performs at all kinds of state fairs, corporate events, festivals, and community concerts. He recently lent his unique classical yodeling talent to a full-length Disney animated feature called "Home on the Range." Kerry is perhaps the only full-time yodeler in the world that specializes in all styles of yodeling. He can be strictly Alpine, or he can put on his Stetson hat and do an all-cowboy yodeling show. However, many of Kerry's fans say that their favorite show is when Kerry mixes up the styles. You will hear cowboy, Alpine, Cajun, Latin, Jewish, Hawaiian, jazz, classical, and his always popular mouth trumpet and humorous chicken yodeling renditions.

Tie the 'Christensen' (aka 'Cross') knot
This knot belongs to a bygone race and is one of the last remaining examples of old tie knotting. The knot was called "Christensen" due to its 1917 publishing in a catalog on behalf of the Swedish tie-maker Amanda Christensen. Its secret is not explained in any of the manuals of its time, and only in recent years has there been a renewed interest in the knot, and an explanation on how to tie it. The knot is quite difficult to tie as the last move goes through not one but two loops. These loops are harmoniously crossed over at the triangle of the tie and make up an X-shape over the triangle. It can be quite tricky to tighten. The X formed in this way lends the idea of a delicate squeezing of the blade which flows into the bottleneck of the knot from where it emerges with newfound verve. The "Christensen" knot was devised for the cravats of the time; same width from start to end. This enables the X to be balanced. Today's tie's which will work well with the Christensen should be of the narrow sort. To be used at semiformal occasions. The video is to be viewed as if you were looking in a mirror. -

Shoot consistent sub MOA with a gun that weighs 6.5 pounds. Actually expect a bit when outfitted: this .300 WSM Christensen Arms (CA) "Extreme II" bolt gun shows a full up weight of 7 lbs 8 oz. And that's with an excellent Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 scope and Talley steel rings. Hefting this featherweight rig will bring a smile if you've ever dreamed of lighweight guns while humping gear at high altitudes. It features an excellent 3.5 lb Timney trigger (adjustable), proprietary carbon fiber stock with excellent colorations and traction, graphite bedding block, smooth running skeletonized bolt, titanium muzzle brake (extra), enhanced extractor, and Limbsaver recoil pad. This pad with the compensator made felt recoil very manageable even with the gun' lightweight. The threaded barrel will make suppressor integration easy. However the heart of the CA carbon rifles is their barrel: match grade Shilen liners wrapped in proprietary carbon fiber system. It has some key advantages over a steel barrel of same diameter: cools 400% faster, experiences less thermal stress, longer barrel life, and weighs 2/3s less. I found this Extreme II did indeed deliver bull barrel performance and accurate sustained fire was achieved in 20 round strings. Minor heat stringing was noted and in all shooting was conducted rapidly with no cool downs. Accuracy was excellent as demonstrated by two different loads; time and money prevented more load development and testing. No matter though: the gun off rest <b>...</b>
