It was recorded in 1951 for Distant Drums, but found it's infamy when sound magician Ben Burtt snuck it into the films he was working on, especially Star Wars and Indiana Jones. This video is a (pretty) complete collection of the films that The Wilhelm Scream has been in. Note: There are different takes of the Wilhelm Scream from the original recording.
