Give it a try, it really is amazing to see it happen right before your eyes. Here's the link to the template: i.imgur.com brusspup t-shirts! brusspup.spreadshirt.com For me, this is still one of the most amazing illusions. The design is just so simple and yet the illusion is so amazing. This illusion has been around for a long time but always in the form of an image. It was created by MIT professor Edward H. Adelson. I wanted to take it from a flat piece of paper and turn it into a real, life sized illusion that I could interact with to demonstrate the effect. The illusion works because of the "shadow" that falls on the checkerboard. Lets think of the square that the shadow falls on. Now picture that the shadow doesnt exist, you would see a light colored square surrounded by the dark colored squares. But when the shadow falls on top of that light colored square, the shadow causes the shade to become darker but it also causes the surrounding darker squares to become darker. So within the shadow region the brightness and darkness of the squares are still relative to one another. But they are no longer relative to the squares that lie outside of the shadow. EAL: Evolving Artificial Life

This is an old ALife program I wrote years ago just for fun. Each coloured square on the grid is a single creature. Each creature can examine the colour of grid cells directly in contact with it (up, down, left, right, and the diagonals). The program starts off with a bunch of randomly-generated creatures. Most of those die out very quickly, but a few manage to reproduce. Some parts of this video are showing the program running at regular speed. Others show a 'time-lapse' mode that runs through simulation time much faster. There's no visible marker to indicate which mode is active, but you can usually tell by the amount of change from moment to moment. This video is not a single run, but a combination of several independent runs. The creatures' genetic code contains a list of rules. Translated to English, the rules would read something like "if there's a green square above you and a food square on the right, move to the right". There are more conditions, more options, and more actions available than just that example - but that's the general idea. There's a kind of 'gravity' that pulls everything down in the grid. Creatures can climb up and around each other to overcome gravity, but if unsupported, they will fall. Food pellets (dark grey squares) fall into the grid at the top. Creatures can reproduce either sexually or asexually. Their rules include actions like moving, eating, reproducing asexually, trying to reproduce sexually with a neighbour, sharing food with a <b>...</b>

Gmod (7) Depth HUD (DEPRECATED)

DEPRECATED ----------------------------------------- www.youtube.com Depth HUD is a HUD based on a broken HUD made by Night-Eagle. This HUD has the same base code as the Spherical HUD, but as the Spherical HUD by Night-Eagle suffered from a flaw that comes from Garry's Mod base code (not his fault), I wanted to make a new HUD with the same features but with the basic shapes that ressembles to the default HUD. I so regretted that I couldn't use the Spherical HUD for framerate reasons, so I've decided to make my own with my zero knowledge of LUA coding. This HUD simulates 4 layers: One for the text, one for the coloured squares, one for the background squares, and one for the health loss/gain. These layers move at different speeds when the camera moves. Find out all the other features in the video.

Prague Travel: Gorgeous Old Town Square + Church of Our Lady before Tyn

Having grown up in Austria, I had never made it to the Czech Republic, one of our neighbouring countries. Prague, in particular, had interested me for a long time, but I had never had a chance to visit it. Well, on June 1, finally, I was on my way to explore Prague, one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations. I took the train from Vienna, enjoyed a great conversation with a young Czech lady from Brno who is now living in Berlin, and finally around 3 pm I made it into the Holesovice Railway Station in Prague. Later that afternoon and evening I took a personal tour of the Old Town area with local expert Jitka Simkova and her colleague Karel. We started on St. Wenceslav Square, with its early 20th century architecture, and walked through narrow cobble-stoned streets into the centre of Prague: Old Town Square. This expansive public square features two of the main attractions of Prague: the Old Town Hall with its famous astronomical clock, and the Gothic Church of Our Lady before Tyn with its distinctive roofline. Kinsky Palace and the Church of St. Nicholas along with a variety of pastel-coloured medieval houses impressed me as one of the most beautiful European squares I had ever seen. We continued our walk to the famous historical Charles Bridge whose construction started in 1357 and continued for about 150 years. Walking back through the narrow streets we stopped at a typical Czech beer hall, U Medvikdku, where I got to taste some authentic Czech beer brewed on site <b>...</b>

Knitting Tutorial for Beginners- 6. Joining Squares

In this video you will learn how to use a couple of different methods to join two pieces of squares, swatches, or anything you knit that you want to come together to form a finish piece. Its usually used when you want to make a seam to join the front and back of a sweater, or panels of a hat. This video will first show you how to 'weaving method'. This is my favorite because it is almost invisible, and it makes a strong seam. Second method is the 'running stitch'. This is an easy way to bind your two pieces together. With this method you have an option of either showing the stitch for a fun color contrast, or flipping it inside out to see a seamless seam. Third method is the 'whipstich'. Its similar to weaving, but instead you whip back around to stitch. So instead of sewing front to back then back to front, you would sew back to front whip back and sew again back to front. Itll make more sense when you watch the video. This seam gives you sort of a bounded end. Fourth is a modern edgy look using safety pins. Definetly not grandmas style.

Roll On for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch - moozlebug.com (old version)

New version here: www.youtube.com Roll On is a fast paced game for the iPhone®, iPad™ & iPod touch®. Reminiscent of a number of games from around the early nineties brought up-to-date with crisp hi-definition graphics and slick gameplay. The object of the game is simple, roll and jump your way down the chequered track to the end of each level before the time runs out. Certain coloured squares affect the behaviour of your ball speeding it up slowing it down or messing with your controls etc. Can you beat all forty-two levels? moozlebug.com Music by Dynamedion (used under license).
