DIY: Make Your Own Comic Book Flats

Check out my contest going on! Ends on nov. 25th, 2011! www.youtube.com Definitely my favorite video so far! Supplies: -Comic books (i suggest www.newkadia.com ) - Ballet flats (old, new, or any shoes) - Exacto Knife - Mod Podge - Paintbrush - Steel Wool ( #0000) - Nail Buffer Directions 1. Start cutting out images from the comic books you choose and I recommend cutting out scenes from the comic books to lay down on the shoes first. Scenes take up more space than you can put character pictures or sayings or whatever you like over that. Its just to make sure you have a good base. 2. Next take your comic pieces one at a time and place it on a spot on your shoe to see if it fits in the spot well. ( I recommend working from the heel forward). 3. Take your brush and brush a good layer of mod podge onto the the piece you are going to stick onto your shoe. I found that you can't really have to much on the comic piece, it will just make it easier to bend to the shape of the shoe. Continue with this step until you have covered the whole shoe 4. After finishing the scenes, begin applying the words "Blam, BANG, etc" 5. Brush a layer of mod podge over the entire shoe to seal it. Let it dry for 15-20minuets per layer. Repeat this step at least two more times 6. Wait at least 48 hours and wear them and have fun!

Star Wars Purge - the adapt. of the comic book to video, Part I

After Order 66, few Jedi dare to venture outside the shadows—rumours of the dark and terrible Darth Vader haunting even their waking moments. Yet, some Jedi find this life of fear unbearable. Now, a small band of Jedi have agreed to meet and discuss what should be done to oppose the Empire and its Sith Lords. However, the Empire is always watching, and Vader himself is eager to confront any Jedi that might bring him closer to the whereabouts of his betrayer, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Prepare for Jedi versus Sith action unlike any seen since the Old Republic in this special one-shot follow-up to Revenge of the Sith! As the title says, this is an adaptation of the famous one-shot star wars comic "Purge" by John Ostrander and Doug Wheatley to video. To do this I worked every square of the comic and add all the necessary sound effects to give the feeling of a real film. Because of the length this is a 2 part video, you can also find the other one also in youtube. Full version on demonoid.com
