Sporting a Core 2 Duo ULV or Celeron ULV processor, the notebook supports an optical drive or a battery that increases runtime to 10+ hrs. The notebook has tons of expansion ports already, but the dock takes it up a notch by offering an upgraded GPU to an nVidia GT220 from the built in GMA4500, and allows support for up to 3 monitors. This will allow GIGABYTE to build on this platform by allowing support for more powerful GPUs in the future, giving your notebook desktop like performance when docked at home. www.netbooknews.com When we came across the ASUS 1001PQ at the Intel booth at Computex 2010 the details didn't immediately spring to mind, but with so many netbooks in their line up we don't feel guilty. Asus Eee PC 1001PQ is a netbook for kids with a 10.1-inch display screen with 1024×600 resolution, and WiFi, Ethernet, only 2 USB ports, audio jacks, SD card reader and 11 hours of battery. What makes this a kids PC is that it come preloaded with all the accessories kids need. The unit on the show floor didn't have anything loaded for kids so we can't tell you how extensive the suite is. We can however give you our impressions of the unit when we did our hands on video.

The new case represents a new direction for NZXT and is arguably one of their highest quality and best looking chassis of all time. The design resembles a "Storm Trooper" while the black edition of this case could be mistaken for an Imperial Tie Fighter pilot or Darth Vader. It also comes in red and all of them have matching interiors. The new HALE90 power supplies are all 80PLUS certified and feature a white and black color scheme. Modular cables run up the line except for the entry level 500 W unit. Quality is definitely a notch above NZXT's previous efforts. Apparently HP is entering into the education market with their the HP Classmate, its sporting SUSE Linux with N455 processor a 160GB HDD in a 10.1 inch form factor. It also has a handle and looks like it must be rugged because it is a pretty thick netbook. We are surprised that it is not come equipped with a touch screen, but perhaps it might in future builds.

The device is based on the new Intel Atom N455, which has besides the DDR3 memory support. There is no differences to the current N450, as it continues to work on 1.66 GHz. The Jetway EM101 is one of the many standard netbooks, but is apparently unlike many competitors with Windows XP. The integrated trackpad is with its smooth surface. Overall, the design is reminiscent of devices like the Samsung NC10 or Sony's VAIO TT-Series.

The GUS - Graphic Upgrade System, and this time you have the option of changing the GPU to your own liking, so long as it can run on the 90W spec. The external GPU casing connects to a notebook via ExpressCard/34 and the unit without the graphics card is said to be available for US $110 to $120. Pretty good deal if you ask us.

Aiptek's ultra portable pocket LED LCoS projectors - here we see their all in one boom box that comes with that functionality. It's better known as the MobileCinema D20. It's got a DVD player, USB and card reader built-in. It even has a mic input for karaoke! The masses can't go wrong with this one. The PocketCinema T30 mobile projector is similar in specs to the MobileCinema, having a LED LCoS projector and can shoot up to 65-inches in size. Most of you international travelers will be flying into terminal 2, just go up the departures and you'll see the My Phone booth. In the video you'll see exactly what it looks like. Now the booth was closed when I flew out, so I can't recall how much it was for the SIM, but for Data you can have 1, 3 or 5 days of unlimited data. Since you're coming to Computex you'll want the 5 days of Data, that'll run you 350NT, or $22 USD. I day was $200 and if memory serves me right 3 days was about 300NT. Now, I do have to stress that this is my network and I live in Taiwan, so this is a real public service announcement that I'm letting you know who does the best deal for pre-paid 3G. This tablet is running the 1.66GHz Atom Z530 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, 2 USB ports, an HDMI port and a webcam all come standard. On paper they are saying that it is faster and more powerful then the iPad, but i've always found the Z530 not a strong processor choice for multitasking. The tablet was actually barely functional and really felt and looked like MSI went, "OH, Right, We are supposed to show off a tablet next week" I'm a little kinder in the video, and MSI isn't alone is showing tablets that aren't complete with a spec sheet that does match. So dont' think I'm just picking on them, ASUS also showed off tablets with no ports, but at least their prototype looked polished. The design is also not impressive, the MSI WindPad 110 has a more ergonomic and well thought through design.

We actually did a hands on a CES, also at the Microsoft booth as the Onkyo seemed to alternate with the Kojinsha for the dual screen that was on display. This bizzare little mobile computing device has two 10.2-inch display with resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels. We would be writing home to mom if it had touch screen, but its still pretty cool. It is powered by a AMD Athlon Neo processor, 4GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Home Edition.

And this is an MSI Fuzion demonstration based on an 870A Fuzion board, and an ATI Radeon HD and a GeForce 200 series GPU working together to produce beautiful multi GPU performance together. And we're looking at Aiptek's 3D Photo Frame and I2 3D video camcorder here. The 3D photo frame doesn't 3D glasses to appreciate since there's a special substrate on the LCD panel that enables in to be 3D ready. You'll have to stand around the center though to fully appreciate the punchy effect. The I2 3D video camcorder on the other hand, serves to let you capture these images in 3D for your 3D photo frame. You can also convert these 3D images to appear in 3D in regular 2D monitors, but you will need those retro blue and red glasses to see the image, which wouldn't be as good if it were displayed on a native 3D display. It has a 3D LCD by the way.
