Lego Mindstorm robot plays connect four
Constructed and programmed by Arthur van Hoff using Lego Mindstorms. It uses a one mind, three motors, two rotational sensors, one optical sensor. The robot can only play black, because it can only see the red pieces in the board. The first version was completed in February of 2004. This video was recorded in September 2007.

Its an oldie but a goodie brought into the digital world and with a few new surprises as you can see here with a new mode called [b]Power Chips[/b]. I'm glad that I bought it, because most arcade games I have gotten and passed and have gotten all the achievements I never play again but with this game you can go on for hours if you aren't doing anything. I recommend it for anyone who likes the old board games and who has family near and far (and also own a 360). Daughter's first time ever playing these games and she loves them.

NXT Robot playing connect 4!!
This is the result of my connect 4 project. It took me about a month to get it there, but now it´s finally finished. The Robot is complete from LEGO, just the aktually game is not. And it`s programmed in NCX. The robot uses 3 motors, a touchsensor, a lightsensor and a lowspeed-ultrasonicsensor. 1 motor for movement of the whole robot, 1 for the movement of the lightsensor and 1 to put chips in the game. the touchsensor helps the robot to get in the right position to start. the lightsensor "scans" the game and is searching for the opponents chip. the ultrasonicsensor tells the robot when if i put a chip in the game. the robot is not connected to a pc or something else. The KI should work on the idea of the minimax algorithmus, but the speed of the NXT is bordered . So he doesn`t play really good. However watch the video, have fun!! comments are welcome!
