Anton Corbijn's prolific work has shaped the image of artists such as Joy Division, U2, Nirvana, Metallica, Depeche Mode and REM but what drives the photographer, filmmaker and video artist who has been hidden from the public for so long? Inside Out explores Corbijn's persona, uncovering his motivation and inherent conflict as an artist, between audience's admiration and personal loneliness and the unique iconography he created. With critical and insightful interviews of artists like Bono, George Clooney, but most of all Corbijn himself, we follow him to his current and childhood homes, places of work, studio and film set to reveal the portrait of one of the most significant artists of post-modern pop culture.

Wanneer de medicijnen beginnen te werken, krijgt Lee Ray wroeging over zijn slachtoffers en krijgt hij last van nachtmerries over de verschrikkelijke misdaden die hij heeft gepleegd. Na enige tijd keert Lee Ray weer terug in de maatschappij, waar hij zorgvuldig in de gaten wordt gehouden. Hier begint zijn verleden hem te achtervolgen. De medicijnen lijken niet langer meer te werken en het ziet ernaar uit dat Lee Ray elk moment weer kan veranderen in een moordlustige psychopaat. Anton Corbijn (Dutch pronunciation: [kɔrˈbɛin]; born 20 May 1955) is a Dutch photographer, music video and film director. He is the creative director behind the visual output of Depeche Mode and U2,having handled the principal promotion and sleeve photography for both for more than a decade. Some of his works include music videos for Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence" (1990) and Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box" (1993), as well as the Ian Curtis biopic Control, George Clooney's The American and the A Most Wanted Man based on John le Carré's 2008 novel of the same name (announced 2011). Corbijn was born in Strijen, the Netherlands. He started his career of music photographer when he saw the Dutch musician Herman Brood playing at a cafe in Groningen (the Netherlands) around 1975. He took a lot of photos of the 'rising star' Herman Brood & His Wild Romance. Because of the pictures taken by Corbijn, Brood's fame rose quickly, and as a result Corbijn's own exposure increased. Corbijn has photographed Joy Division, Depeche Mode, U2, David Bowie, Miles Davis, Björk, Captain Beefheart, Kim Wilde, Robert de Niro, Stephen Hawking, Elvis Costello, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Morrissey, Clint Eastwood, Roxette and Herbert Grönemeyer, amongst others. World famous Dutch director and photographer Anton Corbijn visited Shoot Me on the 12th of October 2010 for an extensive Q&A in a sold out venue in the Hague (Netherlands). He talked about his career, his music videos and his work as a director. This is Part 1 of the registration of Ins&Outs with Anton Corbijn, made by the Shoot Me Film & Music Festival. About Anton Corbijn Corbijn shot to fame as a photographer in the seventies, soon becoming the preferred photographer for U2, Herman Brood and Depeche Mode. He shot many famous portraits of big names like David Bowie, Miles Davis, Robert de Niro and Clint Eastwood, but he is also famous for his album artwork for bands like Metallica, Rolling Stones, U2, Nick Cave, REM, Bryan Ferry, the Killers, the Bee Gees, Bruce Springsteen and many others. Since 1993 he has also been the stage designer for the Depeche Mode world tours, and he designed their album covers and logos. He recently also designed the new logo for the city of The Hague. In the past 25 years he directed many award winning music videos and films ("Control").
