Good ol' Dave McCormack's old band, Custard, or how I like to call them, "THE BEST GODDAMN POP BAND FROM BRISVEGAS!". I had this song on high rotation back in the day. Chocolate custard recipe

A dessert staple whether for using as filling or for simple licking off a spoon, from GialloZafferano; Italy's number one food website. *** Hi GialloZafferano viewers and welcome to our kitchen. Today we'll be making chocolate pastry custard. This is a very rich custard that can be eaten by the spoonful or used to fill pastries—sponge cake for example...or even beignets or éclairs. It's important to use very fresh ingredients of a good quality. Let's see what we'll need. • Two-thirds a cup of sugar • ½ a vanilla pod • just over 3 tbsp of flour • two tbsp of cornstarch • 3 and a half ounces of chocolate • one half cup of egg yolk • one cup of fresh whole milk • And one cup of fresh heavy cream Let's make our chocolate custard. First of all, put the milk and cream into a pot over a low heat. Next, take your vanilla pod, slice it open, and scrape out the seeds using the tip of a non serrated knife. Add the seeds and the empty pods to the milk. Bring this to a simmer. While you're waiting, add the sugar to a bowl and to this add the yolks, mix together, and after add the flour and the cornstarch which you should sift in to avoid clumps. Mix it together to get an even mixture without lumps. The cream has come to a simmer, now take out the vanilla pod. Add the hot cream little by little to the egg mixture. Do this slowly to keep the egg from curdling. Now that all of the cream has been mixed into the eggs, put the whole mixture back into the pot and bring it to the simmer. The ...

Zabaione ( liquid egg custard ) original Italian recipe

The zabaione is the most classic and simple custard in Italy: it's usually served in a cup and accompanied by dry biscuits, or it can be used to make other desserts. Find this and many more recipes on the Giallozafferano App in English itunes.apple.com *** Hi everyone and welcome to the GialloZafferano kitchen, today we'll be preparing together a classic Italian custard: the zabaione. It's a delicate, liquid custard made from eggs and flavoured with fortified wine, such as marsala, vermouth or moscato. Let's see together what we need to make the zabaione: • 8 tbsp (100 ml) of fortified wine, I've chosen the moscato • 8 tbsp (160 g) of sugar • 8 yolks Let's make together the zabaione. First of all, separate the egg whites from the yolks, since we'll use only the yolks. Then put them in a pan, if you have it use a pan like this, with a round bottom, otherwise you can use any other you have at home... add the sugar and whisk everything with a beater until you have a fluffy thick cream... then we'll add the chosen liqueur. Here we are, as you can see the mixture is white and foamy, so we can add the chosen wine in a thin stream. After adding the fortified wine, place the pan into a slightly larger pan filled with boiling water. The smaller pan must not touch the water and the water shouldn't boil anymore. Then whisk the mixture for at least 10 minutes more. Our zabaione is ready to be tasted alone, or you can use it to make an excellent tiramisu. From Sonia and ...

You can use it as a dessert or a drink, or as a dessert drink! Ingredients: 3 egg yolks or 2 whole eggs ½ teaspoon flour ¼ cup sugar 2 cups milk ½ teaspoon vanilla a few grains of salt Scald 2 cups milk in a medium-sized saucepan over low to medium heat. Stir in ¼ cup sugar, ½ teaspoon flour, and a few grains of salt. Return to heat, and let the mixture come almost to boiling. Beat eggs in a medium to large mixing bowl. Gradually add hot milk mixture, beating continually. Pour the mixture back into saucepan and return to heat. Cook until the custard coats a spoon. Remove from heat. DO NOT BOIL. Stir until the custard begins to cool, and add ½ teaspoon vanilla. Pour into a nice bowl for serving. To serve, use a ladle to fill small cups or glasses. This is best served while very warm. Enjoy! Betty's Elegant Caramel Custard

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Elegant Caramel Custard. In Spanish cooking, this dessert is called Flan. It's delicious! Ingredients: 1 cup sugar ½ cup water 3 whole eggs 2 egg yolks ½ cup additional sugar 2 ½ cups lukewarm milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract In a medium-sized pot, combine 1 cup sugar and ½ cup water. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring constantly, 10 minutes, or until sugar caramelizes (turns an amber color). Pour equal amounts of the syrup into 8 custard cups. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat 3 eggs, 2 egg yolks, and ½ cup sugar until blended. Gradually add 2 ½ cups lukewarm milk, continuing to blend with an electric mixer or whisk. Blend in 1 tablespoon vanilla, until completely blended. Spoon custard mixture equally into the 8 custard cups on top of the caramelized sugar. Place custard cups in a roasting pan, and add hot tap water to a depth of ¼ -inch to ½-inch. Cover roasting pan with aluminum foil. Bake at 325 (F) for about 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the thickest part comes out clean. Remove custard cups to a wire rack, and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Place the custard cups back in the roasting pan (which has been emptied of water) and re-cover with the aluminum foil. Chill 3 hours. Galaktoboureko Greek Custard Phyllo Dessert Recipe

Galaktoboureko Greek Custard Phyllo Desert Recipe howtoexpo.com How To Make Galaktoboureko. The Greek Kitchen at my friends house taught me how to make this custard and phyllo rolls, For many years I always called it a different name, but have now found out its true identity of this pastry recipe. The only part that may take some time is making the custard, and individually rapping each roll. But can be done in less than 30 minutes, besides the baking time. The Greek Custard, is basically semolina based and is wonderful. The cinnamon at the end is optional, but really gives it a lot of flavor. We tend to rush and eat it when its warm, but its most delicious when is cold. Phyllo dessert are widely popular in many baklava varieties, and perhaps this recipe is a relative of the baklava as it has the basics of many baklava ingredients. Phyllo dough is so diverse, you can use it in a countless amount of recipes, and this is another recipe using Phyllo dough. Make a batch of these Galaktoboureko Greek Custard Phyllo Desserts Pastry Recipe and take it as a gift! But make plenty as it will go fast! Its that good!

Custard ( crema pasticcera ) recipe

A staple recipe for a sweet, dense custard scented with vanilla. Find this and many more recipes on the Giallozafferano App in English itunes.apple.com *** Hi everyone and welcome to the GialloZafferano kitchen. I'm Sonia and today we'll be preparing pastry custard -- one of the condiments most used in the kitchen for filling desserts. Let's take a look at what ingredients we'll need: • ¾ cups of sugar • One vanilla pod, or alternately, grated lemon zest • ½ cup of flour • Six eggs -- you'll only need the yolks • 2 cups of milk Let's prepare our custard! The first step in preparing the pastry cream is to place the milk (reserve a cupful) into a pot along with the vanilla pod, which you should score beforehand, and slowly put it up to the boil. After that turn off the heat and let the milk cool and absorb the aroma of the vanilla. The second step is to combine the egg yolks and sugar into a bowl and to beat the two together well. Now beat the flour into the mix, and finally add the reserved cup of milk. Continue to beat everything to a smooth mixture without lumps. Next, remove the vanilla pod from the milk and then add the egg and sugar mix. Now you'll need to cook this on a very low heat until the custard thickens. After a few minutes of continuous stirring our pastry custard is finally finished. You can see it's at the proper consistency. I've transferred the custard to a smaller container. Now before we use it, we have to wait for the custard to cool completely. To ...

I applied Let's Jam Custard on the left side of my hair and then I applied the Let's Jam Custard and Eco Styler Gel to my right side. The Eco Styler Gel dries clear and does not flake or form "white balls" when it is mixed with the Let's Jam. Both sides have a nice soft hold, but the Eco Styler side has a slightly stronger hold (not much). This is a great alternative if you would like to use this product under gel (especially if you live in a humid climate).
