December 17, 2011: Occupy Wall Street teams up with artists, musicians and faith leaders to demand a space for public expression and to seek sanctuary in an unused lot owned by Trinity Church, an institution that has shown support for the movement despite its strong ties to Wall Street. Episcopal Bishop George Packard is the first to scale the fence, and is arrested along with fellow occupiers. Reverend Lawson, a leader of the Civil Rights movement, urges the protesters to keep "treading water" because the country needs them. Music from Dean and Britta, live from WBAI studios.

Just did my first real engine work on the car. Lx to EX headswap. New head has been ported and polished with crower stage 1 cam. Car is a lot faster with this mod. Still some tuning to go but nobody on youtube had vid of what stage 1 cam is like on stock tune. Right now vtec is tuned on apexi afc neo. Hopefully I can use the afc neo to tune the car a bit better. Future mods include cam gear with tuning advanced 4 degrees, race header, stage 1 clutch and lightweight flyweel, maybe nitrous. stage 1 cam gave a huge increase in torque and power. Will post up a better vid at a later time.

December 17, 2011: On the three month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, after the arrest of 49 protesters in Duarte Square, occupiers take their message into the streets. The peaceful march on Times Square is met with cheers from bus passengers, limo drivers and other working new yorkers and with violent arrests by the NYPD.

Occupy Wall Street Direct Action devises ingenious tactic to cross the fence and take the park (even if momentarily) despite heavy NYPD presence as part of the D17 action. Leading the charge was a bishop followed by other brave hearts.

#d17 occupation 2.0 at duarte square located at 6th and Canal St. about 40 OWS protesters were arrested and many more fled the trinity property before they could be arrested. The action was part of a march that caught the police off guard as the ladders were used as part of banners during the march.

This is my brother plowing with my 1959 D17 Allis-Chalmers gas tractor. I think the plow is a model 53. The ground had been left alone for about 10 years and was pretty rough. Took a while to get the plow shined up and the depth set but it's working pretty well now. Lots of stones, broke the tips of the front and rear points later.

Heres a video I took while riding on a friends Allis-Chalmers D-17 sereis III diesel. We were plowing pasture that hasnt been farmed since the early 1950s. We do a "torque rise test" where we dropped the throttle down to idle than opened it back up with the plow in the ground. Not much of a challenge for an AC!

Occupy Raleigh's #D17 day of action included the arrival of Walkupy. They are a group of protesters who started in NYC, marched to DC with Atlanta, GA being their final destination. After completing over 500 miles of the journey they arrived in Raleigh on December 17th, the 3 month anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement (just over 2 months for Occupy Raleigh). We met them at Mordecai Historic Park in Raleigh then marched south by the Governor's Mansion and on to the State Capitol. We then turned west down Hillsborough St. toward the camp. Two blocks from the camp the Police arrived and arrested most of the Walkupy marchers. They have marched in the street in every city they have visited and were only escorted by Police in support, until they arrived in Raleigh. Their welcome here was a harsh one.

They seemed as if they new him, calling him directly by name, before checking ID or a formal "who are you" was asked. Sadly I didn't get all of that on film which I regret. This is my Dad running our 1963 D-17 series 3 and our Allis-Chalmers forage harvester chopping straw this summer. We used this machine for dry chopping hay and straw until 16 years ago when I was 14. This is the first time it has done any part of a crop since then. Still working great!

1963 Series III Allis-Chalmers D17 earning its keep grinding corn for cattle feed. This tractor works almost every day of the year. The hourmeter shows over 9100 hours. Not many 45 year old tractors are still used this hard!

Exhilerating. 77 year-old Episcopal Bishop George Packard inspires us all by being first over the fence around Duarte Square. OWS organizers built a pair of staircases that we disguised as signs during the march. Our celebration inside was short-lived but we made an impression.
