Dagupan City has been and will always be a part of my childhood and growing up. My week in Asingan was never been complete without a visit to this exciting city. Having seen many cities already in Canada and the US, Dagupan has seemed to receede into the inner areas of my consciousness. But visiting it as a Balikbayan is still an exciting exercise. For the city has changed a lot since the 50s. Not necessarily for the better . Many call it an ugly city but nonetheless it is a place to visit if only for its restaurants. While we were staying in Dagupan for a couple of days, we went restaurant hopping. First to Kuya Max, then to deLuxe, Star Plaza restaurant and last is Dagupenia now re-located along the highway in Calasiao. Food of course is superb, especially the BANGUS dishes..
