How To Hip Hop Dance - Moving Like A Hip Hop Dancer (
This video is for true beginners with no dance experience. People with no dance skill come to me all the time wanting to learn how to dance. In addition to classes, I teach private lessons, mostly to guys who don't want to look dumb when they go to a dance with a girl. The key is to learn how to feel the music and move to it like a hip hop dancer does. As I explain in the vid, 95% of the time you will be just moving or bouncing to the beat mostly in place. In clubs and dances, theres usually no room to bust it out, and if there is, it's usually too dark to really see anyway. When I'm out at a club I can spot girls that know how to move well not because they're busting it out, but because of the simple ways they move to the beat. That's your goal: move to the beat like a really good dancer. So this video just skims the surface of how to do that. This video shows you a few simple moves that you can put together into a sweet move. It's important to master the small moves. That's what sets you apart as a hip hop dancer and someone that is trying to hip hop dance. Move videos will come later.

Toné multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Raphael Saadiq (formerly known as Raphael Wiggins), who left the band he co-founded with his brother D'Wayne in 1998. Saadiq first contacted DJ Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest, which had disbanded after their 1998 LP The Love Movement, and then ex-En Vogue member Dawn Robinson, who had originally departed that group for a solo career in 1997 but jumped at the chance to work with Saadiq and Muhammad. Relying a great deal on live instrumentation in addition to samples and turntable work (Muhammad even plays bass and guitar), Lucy Pearl issued its self-titled debut album in the spring of 2000.

Whilst the idea of a flash mob isn't a new thing, a Dabke / Hip-Hop flash mob in Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport (Beirut Duty Free) at a time when the region is in flux is certainly a first. On March 5th, 2011, passengers experienced something a little different. A flash mob performed a mix of Dabke and hip-hop to entertain and delight passengers and airport staff alike. M&C Saatchi and Beirut Duty Free, created this vibrant event as part of their "Take Back More." campaign. The aim was to literally create a wonderful memory of Lebanon that passengers could take with them on their journey.
