The HTC HD7 is easily available in any of the stores that you can go to, but the Dell Venue Pro is only available through Dell's website. Both devices are closely priced, have similar specifications, and run Windows Phone 7 beautifully, but how exactly do they differ? First off, let's look at the hardware. The Venue Pro is a bit heavier at 180g vs. the HD7's 162g. Of course, the Venue Pro does have a better build quality and the slide-out Qwerty thumb-keyboard, so it's also going to be thicker. The HD7 has a better flash on its 5Mp camera, but any photo taken in low-light has a pink tint to it. Furthermore, the Venue Pro's camera button is much easier to press, so even though the HD7 has a better flash, the Venue Pro doesn't require a very hard, shaky squeeze to take a picture (thus causing blur) and it has better color reproduction. The Venue Pro has a 4.1" AMOLED screen with very deep blacks and vibrant color reproduction, however image banding and dithering is much more visible than on the HD7. The HD7 has a larger 4.3" screen, but more washed-out color. In terms of bundled software, the Venue Pro has the same T-Mobile bundled apps; Telenave GPS, T-Mobile TV, My Account, and Family Room... in addition to two other apps; Newsroom and Pageonce Finance.
