The Bachelors - Diane

LINK: tinyurl.com The Bachelors were an Irish pop band of the 1960s consisting of brothers Conleth (b.March 3, 1941) and Declan Clusky (b. December 12, 1942) and John Stokes (b. August 13, 1940). They began as an instrumental act playing harmonicas and called the Harmonichords or Harmony Chords in 1958, but turned to singing after a tour of England in 1959. They signed to Decca Records in the UK and changed their name in 1962, then scored their first hit, "Charmaine" (number six, 1963). Their biggest hit was "Diane" which went to number one in England and number ten in America in 1964; they continued to chart with new records through 1967 and maintained the original group on the cabaret circuit until a messy split between Stokes and the Cluskys in 1984. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
Diane Lane
Diane Lane (born January 22, 1965) is an American film actress born and raised in New York City. Lane made her screen debut in George Roy Hill's 1979 film A Little Romance, starring opposite Laurence Olivier. Soon after, she was featured on the cover of Time. Lane has had a movie career spanning across three decades and has appeared in several notable films, including Unfaithful in 2002, which earned her Academy Award, Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Lane is also well known for her 2003 film Under the Tuscan Sun. Timothy Hutton, Christopher Atkins, Matt Dillon were among the actors Lane dated during the 1980s, and later rock star Jon Bon Jovi. She was married to Christopher Lambert, and they had a daughter, Eleanor Jasmine Lambert. The couple were divorced following a prolonged separation in 1994, and she married actor Josh Brolin on August 15, 2004. In 1967, when the Museum of Modern Art in New York City presented New Documents -- a major exhibition of the personal visions of several photographers -- the surprise of the show was the work of Diane Arbus. On her own, against the advice of many friends, she had pursued her documentation of people on the fringes of society, and the astonishing in the commonplace. Suddenly she was famous, with students and imitators. By 1972 her work was everywhere, and was featured at the Venice Biennale, where it became, as New York Times critic Hilton Kramer said, the overwhelming sensation of the American Pavilion. But by then Diane Arbus was dead, by her own hand. "Nothing about her life, her photographs or her death was accidental or ordinary," wrote Richard Avedon. "They were mysterious and decisive and unimaginable except to her. Which is the way it is with genius." This half-hour documentary was made that same year. It explores her work and ideas, often in her own words as spoken by a close friend. It includes reflections by some of the people who knew her best; daughter Doon, teacher Lisette Model, colleague Marvin Israel, and John Szarkowski, at that time the director of the photography department at the Museum of Modern Art.

This is just meant to be informative. Tools used : Photoshop CS3 (but older versions can be used too, of course) and a wacom intuos 3A4 graphics tablet. Total painting time : approximately 12 hours, but I've changed the speed of the video (1500%). I've not put music so you can listen to your favourite music while watching it. I might write and record a specific soundtrack later if you feel that it really needs music, but this is just an informative video, not something artsy at all. I hope that it can be useful, if you have any question, you can leave them in the comments, I'll try to reply the best I can. Sorry for my bad english, I'm french, I hope you'll understand though.
