The company has designed this product with an entirely new idea to offer the see-through function based on what is called the "eye partitioning" method. LCD images are reflected on a 3.2mm-wide small optical bar located in front of pupils. The user can have the 100% range of view, while watching a 3.8-inch screen located 50cm ahead. For the first time in the world, Olympus' Future Creation Laboratory has its head mounted display Mobile Eye-Trek completely wireless. Mobile Eye-Trek is a wearable display device representing the lab's proposing "Inspired Ubiquitous Service."
