QUICK LOOK: The PicLens Plug-in

I found something I thought was so cool I wanted to share it with you: PicLens (www.piclens.com) is a free browser plug-in that allows you to view pictures and videos in a radically new way. It uses 3D hardware acceleration to let you zoom though pictures on Flickr, Smugmug, Google Image Search, and other image sites. And it even works with videos right here on YouTube! It works very smoothly - the screen recording I did doesn't do it justice. Rate, comment, and subscribe to our channel. Thanks for your support! REVIEW: New Dell Mini 10 (Early 2010 Model)

www.digitalhomethoughts.com NOTE The Dell Mini 1018, as of December 2010, comes with the Atom N455 CPU, but otherwise it's very similar. This is a review video of the new (as of February 2010) Dell Mini 10, a netbook. The New Dell Mini 10 is powered by an Atom N450, part of the Pinetrail chipset, running at 1.66 Ghz. It has 1 GB of RAM, and this model I purchased from Dell has a 5400 RPM, 250 GB hard drive. It features 802.11b/g WiFi, but this model I have doesn't have Bluetooth. Check your local Dell Web site to see if they're offering Bluetooth. It has a 56WHr Lithium-Ion Battery (6-cell), a 10.1" wide screen display (1024 x 600 pixels), and an integrated 1.3 megapixel Webcam. It's using Windows 7 Starter Edition for the operating system. REVIEW: Dell Inspiron Mini 10

www.digitalhomethoughts.com This is an in-depth review video of the Dell Inspiron Mini 10. As configured from Dell Canada, it cost me $559 CAD in March 2009. This Mini 10 is cherry red in colour, uses the Intel Atom Z530 (1.6 Ghz) CPU, has 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, uses Windows XP Home SP3, has a 10.1 inch 16 aspect ratio screen (1024 x 576 resolution), a 160 GB 5400 RPM 2.5 inch hard drive, a 1.3 megapixel Webcam, a 802.11g WiFi card, and is powered by a 3-cell 24 WHr battery. UPDATE: I did some more video tests using Quicktime and Windows Media Player, and while playback was fine (no obvious glitches like with VLC), the quality of the playback wasn't great - the GPU really sucks at scaling video, and artifacts popped up constantly. www.digitalhomethoughts.com Want to buy one? http [Affiliate] This is an unboxing and first impressions video of the Panasonic LUMIX GF1, easily the most unique camera I've ever had the opportunity to look at. It's similar to a DSLR in that you can change lenses, but the micro four-thirds system doesn't use a pentaprism or mirror, so it's not a DSLR. Panasonic calls it a DILC: Digital Interchangeable Lens Camera. I don't see "DILC" taking off as a term, but this camera is hot stuff...it's been selling out everywhere, and Panasonic is struggling to keep up with demand. It uses SD cards and supports SDHC. The GF1 has a 12.1 megapixel Live MOS sensor (17.3 x 13.0mm in size), capturing JPEG or raw images at a maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000 pixels. It's also capable of 720p video capture (1280 x 720) in either AVCHD Lite or MJPEG formats. It can shoot in burst mode, up to three frames per second. Like the video? REVIEW: Dell Studio 14z Notebook

www.digitalhomethoughts.com Here it is, the "mega review" of this laptop. Please ignore the fact that the video says "UNBOXING" - I neglected to edit that to say REVIEW. This video is quite long because I go into a lot of detail about battery tests, performance benchmarks, and the pros and cons of this notebook. I hope everyone enjoys the level of detail! This notebook, shown here in ruby red, is a little different that most notebooks in that it lacks a CD drive - but it's no netbook! It has a 14 inch, 16:9 aspect ratio screen running at 1600 x 900 resolution, which is Dell's 900p resolution option (an upgrade). The standard resolution is 720p, which is 1280 x 720. Powering it all is an Intel Core 2 Duo: the P8600, running at 2.4 Ghz, with 3 MB of L2 cache. 3 GB of DDR3 RAM at 1066mhz provides the memory, and storage is handled by a 320 GB, 7200 RPM hard drive. The graphics processor is an NVIDIA GeForce 9400G-M, and the on-board 802.11 b/g/n WiFI is an Intel 1515 card. It also has Bluetooth 2.1, and an optional ExpressCard 8-in-1 memory card adaptor that arrived damaged as you'll see in the video. The keyboard is back-lit, which is an add-on option, and it's running Windows Vista 64-bit. Powering it all is a 6-cell, 54 WHr battery. I paid $1306 CAD for this configuration from Dell Canada as of May 2009, but Dell's prices change daily to always check their Web site for the most accurate pricing information. Top 10 Netbook Questions Answered

www.digitalhomethoughts.com This video is a bit different than my normal videos. In this video, I tackle the ten most frequently-asked questions that I see in YouTube comments. Rather than endlessly answering the same questions over and over again, I thought I'd make a video that handles the most common questions and then point people to it to have their questions answered. I hope you find it helpful! Distributed by Tubemogul.

REVIEW: Panasonic Lumix GF1

www.digitalhomethoughts.com Want to buy one? http [Affiliate] This is my review video of the Panasonic LUMIX GF1, easily the most unique camera I've ever had the opportunity to look at.
