Digitech JamMan Demo - How to Use a Looper
I picked up a new Digitech JamMan looper recently and wanted to show how much fun it is. I love, love, love this pedal. I've tried other loopers but, to me, this was the best pedal-based looper. I liked that it has two inputs, is ultra-quiet, doesn't change my tone, and the action on the pedal is very smooth. Gear used in this video: 2007 Eric Johnson Signature Series Fender Stratocaster 1966 Fender Twin Reverb with JBL D120Fs Shure SM57 mic for amp Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer modded by Analogman.com (Silver mods w/ true bypass switch) Audio was recorded using a Tascam FW1884 board through Cubase 5.1 This is the first time also that I've used my new wireless clip-on (lavalier) mic. I bought the Shure PG185 system this weekend. You can hear my clothes hitting the mic from time to time - sorry! I wanted to be able to mic the amp so that I had the best sound and separating the channels into one for guitar and one for spoken seemed to be the way to go. FYI: Other popular loopers that I've played through were the Boss RC-20 Loop Station and the Boss RC-50 Loop Station. The RC-20 wasn't enough for my tastes and the RC-50 was way too complex.

www.digitech.com The new iStomp, first impression demo. Just plugged and rocked! Thought it was very cool. Could be a very useful studio tool, as well as just a creative juice instigator. The pedals all sound very much like the real thing. This particular demo is just the camera mic, but I'll do more with the amp mic'd up and different pickup configurations. For $149, plus an average of 5-10 bucks a pedal, it's a very cool way to add a bunch of effects into your aresenal without breaking the bank. You can only use one at a time, but once you've got the one you want loaded into the pedal, you can unplug the phone or iPad and it will stay there forever...until you plug your phone back in and change the effect.
