Sammy Turner - Lavender Blue (Dilly, Dilly) (Original Stereo)
"Lavender Blue" is an English folk song that dates back to the 17th Century, and it has since been sung and recorded with variations on the verse. The first popular recording of the tune was turned in by Burl Ives in Disney's 1949 film "So Dear To My Heart". Several other recordings of "Lavender Blue" were soon made notably by Sammy Kaye and Dinah Shore. Ten years later Sammy Turner would cover the tune for the recording of his life, and one by which he will always be remembered. "Lavender Blue" was the #3 song in the nation during the summer of 1959.

Merrie Melodies - Daffy Dilly (1948) - aap titles
I stumbled upon this oddity while cataloging all my old VHS tapes. This is the cartoon "Daffy Dilly", originally released theatrically Oct. 30, 1948. This version has an intro card for television distributor Associated Artists Productions (aap). The strange thing is, the sale of Warner Bros. cartoons to aap only included Merrie Melodies produced by Harman-Ising (except for "Lady Play Your Mandolin") and all color cartoons released prior to Aug. 1, 1948. Given the date that this film was released, Warner Bros. held onto the rights to this film. It is a mystery how a version with aap titles exists.

After finding out about the possible demise of a famous buzzsaw baron, Daffy, a small-time sidewalk salesman, goes to his house to make him laugh (with a reward of $1 million dollars), only to be repeatedly stopped by the master's butler. But, knowing Daffy, he won't stop at anything. This is the version from Daffy Duck's Quackbusters. Sorry about the cut part when Daffy tries to sell a hand buzzer. Stupid video recorder's fault.
