
Unit used is SCPH-102, PSone. In this video, I'll show you how to play backup PS1 games, burned to CD-R, using a regular game disc. STEP ONE: Insert black bottom disc (Official pressed disc) STEP TWO: Power on console, the disc should begin to spin at 1x. If it doesn't, it means that the lid sensor isn't covered properly. STEP THREE: When the Black "PlayStation" logo appears on the screen, the disc should speed up to 2x. When you hear a noise from the PlayStation, and the disc slows down a little, as quickly as you can, replace the disc with your backup. STEP FOUR: The disc should speed up to 2x, for a bit, then again, it'll slow down, this is when you remove the backup disc, and replace with the official disc. STEP FIVE: Now, this is the tricky part. When you inserted the official disc, the PlayStation logo should still be displayed, but, a few seconds after, it's really fast, could be one second after you insert it, the PlayStation logo should disappear, and you'll see a blank screen. As soon as it disappears, you have about 1 second to replace it with your backup disc, timing is crucial. As soon as you put the disc in, wait about 5 seconds, and it should boot, maximum of 1 minute of waiting. If the disc doesn't boot, you've either got a bad disc, or you timed the swapping wrong. It sounds complicated, but it's alot easier once you get used to doing it, like, I can do it pretty much perfect every time, just because I've had practice.
