Adjusting Your Pistol Sights: B&J Universal Sight Tool
Well-built and it will fit most handguns, the P500 B&J Universal Sight Tool has worked well for me. A few minutes of adjustment and a tape "shim" to prevent marring will have you on your way. It's more precise than hammer and punch method and it portable (making range adjustments easy). Downsides in the version shown would be less precise threading on push screw (some play is evident) and the pivoting screw can mar your sight without a shim. Use care that the push screw is not too low and scratching your dovetail as well. Future versions will be more costly but will include the slide hold down clamp that is optional on the P500 (I haven't seen a need for it yet in part time use). Dedicated, model-specific adjustment/install tools might be better but they are expensive and limited in application. The Kaiser Uni-200L sight tool also seems excellent but it's a bit more expensive (not tested yet). I have worked for a long time and suffered through a number of frustrating Gyro setups before a friend showed me a simple way to have a headlock gyro "locked" from the first liftoff. You will see that it is different from most instruction manuals. Basically the idea is that we do not need the "Gain Mode" in heli flight. Except for the bench mechanical setup session we will not use the gain mode thereafter. The Head Lock function is by far the most important for your helicopter and with this setup you can count on your heli tail rotor being in trim from the first lift off. Our video will outline the steps. They are included below for your reference. Watch this video, and then try it on your own collective pitch heli. It really is easy. First I'll assume you have your main controls setup in your Transmitter. How to Zero you AR15 / M4 Platform: Mechanical Zero & the 25m Target I have gotten a lot of requests from new shooters who have purchased an AR platform and are wondering how to sight it in, I explain the process that I learned while I was in the Army. How accurate this procedure? Well the only way to prove this is by splitting playing cards which I have done from 20 feet out to 300 feet away (even left & right handed).
