THE PEOPLE OF DOOLIN IRELAND
Doolin is a small town located in County Clare, Ireland. These pictures are of the Shops and Pubs located on Fisher Street, the main street through the town. The people of the town are very warm and welcoming. The music at the Pubs is Traditional Irish. Musicians come from all over the world to play in Doolin. My family have been going to Doolin for the past 6 years and have always stayed at "Doolin Haven". A self catering home that is located overlooking the Aran Islands, the Cliffs of Moher and the Atlantic ocean. If you are planning a trip to Ireland I highly recommend Doolin and especially 'Doolen Haven".

Doolin - Dalton Eagles cover
Warner Chappell owns the copyright to this song, this is just a cover that I did to actually promote the Eagles 'Desperado' album which is one of my favorite Eagles albums. I receive no compensation for this other than viewer comments. This Eagles song refers to the Doolin-Dalton gang that existed from approx. 1893 to 1898. They mainly robbed banks and trains. A major factor in their demise was a decision to 'out do' anything Jesse James had done by robbing two banks at once in broad daylight at Coffeyville, Kansas. It was a fatal mistake. To find out more you can google 'doolin dalton'. I had to base this song around the harmonica - so I couldn't tune down as I normally do. I'm really struggling on some of the higher notes, my voice isn't what it used to be. I suppose the pitch could have been changed with a digital program but I would rather post a real song with mistakes, than an artificially perfect one.
BAILING HAY IN DOOLIN IRELAND
DOOLIN IRELAND This is a video of farmers in the town of Doolin bailing hay. They work from sunup to late into the evening. It is a very hard, long, workday. I took the video from the back yard of the house we rent. It is called "Doolin Haven". The relaxation and peace of the house, with its views, is incredible. The house is situated on the top of a hill overlooking the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and the Atlantic Ocean!! Late in the evening, after a full day of sightseeing, we relax in the sun room with a bottle of wine, Guinness and cheese from Galway. We have been staying at Doolin Haven for the past 6 years and the views never get old. The people in Doolin are all so warm and welcoming. Especially Mary and James McNamara. The town of Doolin is known for its Traditional Irish Music. Musicians come from all over the world the last week in February for the Micho Russell Music Festival. We have already made our reservations!!! The video camera I used is a Sony Handycam DCR-SR45. I love the video's it takes but as you can hear, it is 'not' good for daytime use. You can't see the view on the screen and have to wish for the best.....

Located on the coast of Co. Clare, Doolin is a small village world famous for its music pubs that feature traditional Irish music sessions. We visited during the Micho Russell Festival. The pubs were packed and the music was great. We also checked out a Ceili which is like a community party/square dance.

Tara Howley is a young, very talented, musician. In this video she is playing a Traditional Irish Tune on the pipes. The music was incredible and it was a pleasure to meet her and her family.
