Catherine Grace Doran's Story It was March 15th 2004 that Gracie had her first grand mal seizure. From this she was diagnosed with having cavernous hemangiomas on her brain. She went home from the hospital that week with no physical (neurological) problems associated with the seizure. Gracie ended up having another seizure six months later that year. In September of 2008 Gracie had her normal MRI test. We were notified by her neurologist she had had a bleed inside the pons of her brain stem. She did not show any symptoms' from the bleed. We were later told we would not see any seizure activity from a bleed so deep in her brain. We saw many neurosurgeons this time to see about operating and removing the CVM. We consulted doctors from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, CHOC, UCI, and UCSF. In the end, we concluded surgery was more of a risk than leaving it in. We were told it was highly unlikely it would ever bleed again and we went on with life. This last Sunday (8/2/09) we were at the beach and Gracie started to act very strange. She was clutching her right hand, limping, and slurring her words. We brought her home and she took a shower and went right to bed. This was 3:00 in the afternoon. Barbara got on the phone with the doctors and we were told to bring her to CHOC in Orange were a CT scan reveled a second larger bleed in the same area as before in her brain stem. Gracie has developed stroke like paralysis from this bleed in the form of right sided weakness. Gracie has started <b>...</b>

This is a 1940's Doran Cunningham air horn. Usually found on WWII US Navy destroyer ships, and also found on some older ferries. There are only 2 of these that are being used that I know of. Mine and Adam's (Airraidsiren on YouTube). Very rare that only six have been seen in pictures and each one had a different configuration. The 6B is close to 200lbs. of brass, has a 12" diaphragm,my 6B measures 36 1/4" long, and has an 18" bell/horn opening. There are markings at the footing of the air inlet "DD416". This is not the biggest horn made; but is considered the best because of it's sound!

The first race of the 2012 European Rallycross Series got underway at Lydden Hill, UK in near biblical rain storms. Coming to the grid for the first time with his new Citroen DS3, Liam Doran ran a shakedown before he could get into race trim and had a couple of trips to the race office thanks to getting the attention of scrutineering and stewards. Come the finals, Liam had to win the B Final to qualify for the main event which he stepped up to deliver both times. Starting from the back of the A Final, Liam had to pick his way through the field and secured a super credible 3rd place overall.

Liam Doran wrapped up a massive season with the perfect homecoming win at the MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix at Croft. It wasn't all plain sailing though. Running the 2l 518bhp Citroen C4 in the final round of the British Champs as more of a shakedown for the main event Liam was met with a sickening misfire, belching smoke all over the circuit and wrecking the team's preparations. After putting the hours in the car was up and running for the Grand Prix the following day but gremlins struck again with steering issues first, leaving the front wheels out of line. Come the final Liam was nursing the car only to find he was left with 2 gears part way through the heat. Showing insane amounts of race craft and instinct he brought it home despite the field coming back to him.
