Driver: San Francisco Review - Ginx TV

Driver: San Francisco Review Driver: San Francisco is an upcoming sandbox-style action driving video game developed by Ubisoft Reflections, and it will be published by Ubisoft. The game formally was unveiled at E3 2010 and is scheduled for release in North America on September 6, 2011 and in Europe on September 2, 2011 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and the OnLive system., while the Microsoft Windows version will be released on September 27, 2011. The game takes place a few months after the events of Driv3r. It is revealed that both Tanner and Jericho survived the shootout in Istanbul. In the game's trailer, it is revealed that since then, both men have recovered and Jericho has escaped to San Francisco, while Tanner has pursued him there. Jericho is shown being transported in the back of a prison truck, but manages to escape with a vial of acid hidden within his mouth by a paid off guard. He overpowers the guards, and hijacks the truck. Tanner and Jones witness this from Tanner's car, pursuing Jericho as he causes havoc on the streets of the city. Tanner ends up in front of Jericho in an alleyway, and gets pushed in front of a tractor trailer. A hard crash occurs, putting him into a coma. The game will take place in Tanner's coma dream.

Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser (1972) Review Driver: San Francisco 2011 Test Drive

The Vista Cruiser is a station wagon built by the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors from 1964 to 1977. It was based on the Oldsmobile Cutlass/F-85 model but prior to the 1973 model year it utilized a wheelbase which was 5 inches (130 mm) longer than that of the Cutlass/F-85 sedan. Unlike most station wagons, it was styled with an unusual dome car-like glass found in the roof over the second-row seating. It also included sun visors for the second row of seats, and had smaller glass panels over the rear cargo area windows. This car was introduced to the public on February 4, 1964, as a 1964 model. This body style was not unique to Oldsmobile, being shared with the Buick Sport Wagon, and was not repeated in future Oldsmobile mid-size wagons; however, the skylight concept was repeated with the 1991-92 full-size Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon and echoed by its corporate sibling, the 1991-96 Buick Roadmaster wagon. The forward-facing third row seat; while the norm until the late 50s was also unusual for car-based wagons at the time. Though the 71-76 full size GM clamshell models would also use a forward-facing third row, and employ a similar elevated roof over the cargo hold, though without the skylight. The game has been in development for around five years.[19] A new game in the series was confirmed to be in production at the 2005 Tokyo Game Show when Sony announced a list of 102 that would be released on the PlayStation 3.[20] Ubisoft later confirmed a new game in the ...

The Pontiac Solstice is a small sports car from the Pontiac division of General Motors. Introduced at the 2004 North American International Auto Show, the Solstice roadster began production in Wilmington, Delaware,[1] starting in mid-2005 for the 2006 model year. The exterior styling of the production Solstice is similar to that of the 2002 Solstice concept[2] that preceded it. Production of the Solstice was to be running before summer 2005, but delays at the Wilmington plant pushed volume production to the fourth quarter.[3] The new hardtop targa 2009 model was announced in mid 2008.[4] The Solstice uses the GM Kappa platform, which also underpins the Saturn Sky, Opel GT, and Daewoo G2X. The Solstice was nominated for the North American Car of the Year award and Design of the Year award from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) for 2006. It was a runaway hit for Pontiac, with 7000 orders in the first 10 days of availability and 6000 more orders before winter. Although first-year production was planned at 7000, GM apologized to customers for delays and increased production, delivering 10000 by March 1. Production ended with the closure of the Wilmington Assembly plant in July 2009. The game has been in development for around five years.[19] A new game in the series was confirmed to be in production at the 2005 Tokyo Game Show when Sony announced a list of 102 that would be released on the PlayStation 3.[20] Ubisoft later confirmed a new game in the ...

The Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana are full-size vans from General Motors. They replaced the Chevrolet Van and GMC Vandura in 1996. The Express and Savana currently hold 44.8% of the full-size van market in the United States, just behind rival Ford's E-Series. The Express outsells the Savana by more than 3 to 1. After 2003, the Express and Savana had updated sheetmetal similar to the GMT800 light trucks and SUVs, and at the same time, fitted with the LS engines. In 2004 Stability Control (Stabilitrak) was added to all passenger vans. In 2008 the interior was updated and side impact roof airbags were standard on all passenger models. They also offer the E85 Flexfuel Vortec 5.3L V8 engine in both the 2008 Express 1500 Work Van and Passenger Van. The 6.6L Duramax Diesel V8 was added as an option for 2006. The cargo variety of the Express/Savana is popular as a work vehicle, often used by electricians, plumbers, and others needing to haul a variety of large items. In this way, it is the North American equivalent of the ubiquitous white vans in the United Kingdom. In the Netherlands the Express/Savana is available as a civilian vehicle, ambulance, and police accident van. The police van it is used by the Police of Amsterdam. The game has been in development for around five years.[19] A new game in the series was confirmed to be in production at the 2005 Tokyo Game Show when Sony announced a list of 102 that would be released on the PlayStation 3.[20] Ubisoft later confirmed a new game in the series after acquiring the series from Atari.[21] In June 2008, the BBC conducted reports on the computer game industry,[22] among those reports were in-game, and development footage of the next Driver game.[23] On April 21, 2009, Ubisoft registered the trademark Driver: The Recruit.[24] On January 2010, it was confirmed that a new Driver game was in development and due for release in Ubisoft's fiscal year ending in March 2011.[25] On April 23, 2010, Ubisoft registered the domain driversanfranciscogame.com as well as driversanfrancisco.com and driversanfran.com, suggesting that San Francisco was the setting of the new game in the series.[26][27] On May 27, 2010, Ubisoft confirmed that the next instalment in the Driver series would appear on E3 2010, along with other games.[28][29] On 7 June 2010, Ubisoft released a teaser website containing a live action trailer, resembling the first mission of the original Driver game, along with a countdown for Ubisoft's E3 2010 conference.[30][31]

Dykemann Haulier SF Lorry-Truck Review Great Test Drive On Driver San Francisco 2011

Driver: San Francisco puts you in the role of John Tanner who, after a brief and not too successful pursuit of your arch nemesis, is in a coma. These opening ten minutes provide not only a reason for the game's ensuing detachment from reality but an indication of the soul that permeates all areas of the gameplay experience. From here on, the game is played through a kind of foggy coma dream, removing the need for one of the most naturally entrenched video game limitations of all: you are this character. Modern cars sit alongside some real American classics. The Shift ability, then, is the marquee feature for Ubisoft's latest instalment in the Driver franchise. It does require that kind of unwavering acceptance that we, as seasoned games players, should be used to. If you leave your questions and reasoning at the start screen then you'll be rewarded with an imaginative and well implemented quirk of gameplay that makes things much more interesting while also negating the need for the out-of-the-car sections that some have criticised in previous Driver games.
