Just found this video on my hard drive! This is from March of 2009 when the boys played a random show at the Mercury Lounge in NYC...probably one of their first proper gigs in the US! Sound quality is absolutely horrific (apologies, I was right near the front monitors!) but I HAD to upload it anyway for nostalgia purposes. Side note, Marcus absolutely SLAUGHTERED his kick drum during this song and didn't realize it until after the set when they were breaking down the equipment, haha. :D

This is a performance of Mumford and Son's "Dust Bowl Dance" from 107.7 The End's Deck the Hall Ball on December 7th, 2011. **GENERAL DESCRIPTION FOR ALL MY DECK THE HALL BALL VIDEOS** The picture quality is pretty good, but my digital camera had a hard time with the audio. I think it's seen and heard too many concerts :) So there are times when the audio is kind of flat, mainly when the bass is prominent. I recorded the end of the concert (most of Mumford and Son's performances) on my iPhone, after my camera battery died, but I wish I would have used my phone for the whole thing. The video and audio are both better on it, than on my camera. And I pretty much only recorded either partial, or select songs from each band cuz I was saving my memory and battery for Mumford & Sons. It worked. I got every one of their performances. Well. Hope you enjoy!! Oh and sorry for any motion sickness due to shaky camera work, it's hard to hold a camera steady when everyone's pushing and shoving behind you :) PS Sorry about whoever it was that was behind me and singing very loud and off key...I'm referring mainly to the Mumford & Sons performances. I'm normally all about singing along at concerts. That's what makes them fun. But there are some artists, and some songs that I prefer to leave to the musicians. And that is the case with pretty much all of Mumford and Sons' songs. Their vocals incorporate so many ridiculously beautiful harmonies that I just want to listen to them <b>...</b>

Mumford and Sons play two amazing new songs live at Rough Trade East, London E1 on 4 November 2008. Marcus & co were performing instore to celebrate the release of their second EP, Love Your Ground. The new songs featured here are Thistle and Weeds and Dust Bowl Dance. Sadly, due to my memory card being full, Dust Bowl Dance has the end missing which is unfortunate, as the story has a denouement - but, hey, go see them live and find out what happens at the end! Mumford and Sons' very lovely new EP was released on 3 November on the super cool Chess Club label on 10" vinyl. I would advise buying a copy very soon, as the debut EP has now sold out and Love Your Ground, no doubt, will follow suit. Update: Both songs are now available on Mumford & Sons amazing debut album, Sigh No More, along with the singles Little Lion Man and Winter Winds. Another update: 19 months ago I saw this amazing band for the first time (at this gig); playing to a couple of hundred people in a record store in East London. For months afterwards I was banging on about them to anyone that would listen, saying "These guys are going to be big!" "Yeah right", they said, "Sounds like an antique dealers or something". Well people, last weekend the 'antique dealers' packed 18000 people into the John Peel Stage tent at Glastonbury. 18000 people that knew every word of almost every song. I hate to say I told you so but.... Well done lads, you deserve it!
