Off his 1991 album "Confessions", this is another version of Dweezil Zappa's cover of The Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive". I say another because the other covers on here have Ozzy singing, but this one is, I'm pretty sure, Donny Osmond singing. I got this info off of Wikipedia and haven't thought twice about it though, so I could be wrong. Anyway, I recently downloaded a massive amount of covers and mashups via torrents, and have now decided to upload the ones that I haven't found on here. There will be more to come, and if it's requested enough, I'll provide a download link for the song.

Here is Ahmet and Dweezil Zappa's cover version of The Temptations 1966 hit "Get Ready" from the show "Happy Hour". Ahmet Emuukha Rodan Zappa (born May 15, 1974) is an American musician, actor and novelist .Dweezil Zappa (born September 5, 1969) is an American rock guitarist Dweezil and Ahmet were born in Los Angeles, California, the sons of Adelaide Gail Sloatman, who worked in business, and musician Frank Zappa. They have two sisters Moon Unit, and Diva. Dweezil's registered birth name was Ian Donald Calvin Euclid Zappa. The hospital at which he was born refused to register him under the name Dweezil, so Frank listed the names of several musician friends. "Dweezil" was a nickname coined by Frank for an oddly-curled pinky-toe of Gail's. At five years old, Dweezil learned that his legal name was different, and he insisted on having his nickname become his legal name. Gail and Frank hired an attorney and soon the name Dweezil was official. Ahmet was named after Ahmet Ertegün, one of two brothers who founded and headed Atlantic Records and played an important role in Frank Zappa's early career.

We caught up with Dweezil Zappa on his 2011 Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa tour and asked him to talk about Dweezil Zappa gear, equipment, guitar rig, pedalboard, and how he uses the Triskelion Harmonic Energizer pedal. The Triskelion is being referred to by some as a clone of the Systech Harmonic Energizer pedal, a 70's vintage pedal which owes some of its popularity to guitar legend Frank Zappa. Travelling from Europe to the US to Australia, "Zappa Plays Zappa" has featured guest appearances by legendary musicians like Steve Vai and Terry Bozzio. As an ongoing project, the touring group continuously expands its repertoire by adding compositions drawn from Frank Zappa's vast body of work. A recording artist in his own right, Dweezil has released several adventurous solo rock albums, and has played guitar for other artists, including Don Johnson, Winger, and Weird Al Yankovic. Dweezil Zappa playing a Van Halen solo, "Eruption," at the Sony Creative Software party in Las Vegas at NAB 2010. Dweezil was a speaker, presenting his experiences using Sony Vegas software to edit his Son of Roxy & Elsewhere movie. It was recorded on a small Canon SD1100, and was zoomed in, so the video is shaky and not of high quality. Dweezil's rendition is spot on to the original "Eruption."
April 2010: The Fractal Audio artist team spent several days with Dweezil Zappa at the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen, the studio where Frank Zappa recorded some of his best loved work. We worked together on Dweezil's rig and sounds anticipating a live appearance of Zappa Plays Zappa with Jeff Beck (which was awesome!) Highlights included creating or fine tuning a fresh setlist worth of core tones and "all kinds of wild sounds." The heart of the rig is a pair of Axe-Fx Ultra units, each running full amp/cab sims/stomp+studio effects (plus pedal du jour) into its own stereo pair of Atomic Reactor FR Powered Wedges (stood upright). This is what some would call "The Ultimate Rig, Twice". Here Dweezil pushes his lead tone towards space as we enjoy the inspiration of having just nailed the sound of a vintage dynaflanger using "Fractal B". The pedal controlled Axe-Fx delays and sweeps take things where no rig has gone before. Also, check out his guitar. He's playing a prototype Fender that matches the specs of one of his father's old favorites. The finish is embellished with Frank's image worn into it. Very Cool!
