Es war von 1993 bis 1997 einer der prägenden Veranstaltungsorte der Techno-Szene. Als erste große Ausstellung, die sich ausschließlich mit Techno-Kunst befasste, fand 1994 erstmals Chromapark im E-Werk statt. Betrieben wurde der Club von Hille Saul, Andreas Rossmann, Ralf Regitz und Lee Waters.[1] Ständige Resident-DJs waren DJ Disko, DJ Clé, Jonzon, Woody, Terry Belle und die englische Hazel B. Die DJ-Elite der Welt spielte auf zahlreichen Events.[1] An den Freitagen wurden hier die Dubmission-Partys mit ihren Residents Kid Paul und Paul van Dyk gefeiert.[1] Am 24. Juli 1997 schloss das E-Werk als Technoclub. 2005 eröffnete das komplett durch das Berliner Architekturbüro HSH Architektur sanierte E-Werk als Ort für unterschiedlichste Veranstaltungen. Mittlerweile (Stand: 2009) haben mehrere Firmen dort Büroräumlichkeiten bezogen, beispielsweise die ÖPP Deutschland AG, oder Anne Will Media. Ebenso hat dort MyHammer/abacho seinen Firmensitz.

This lost classic, shot on 16mm in a wintry Berlin in 1993, explores the origins of the now monumentally massive German Trance and Dance music scene. With interviews with luminaries such as Dr Motte, Paul van Dyk, Laurent Garnier, Paul Browse, Mijk van Dijk and MFS label supremo Mr Mark Reeder this now legendary exploration into the underworld of what was the most significant force in driving dance music forward in the 20th century. It contains rare early footage of the 1991 and 1993 Love Parade, and of the now bulldozed Mutoid Waste Company land, E-Werk and Tresor - Berlin's legendary (and now closed) clubs that started it all in the former East Berlin. Mein Bericht für euch von der Secret Talent Awards-Finalshow. Am 9.Juni.2011 fand im E-Werk in Köln die Finalshow der Youtube Secret Talent Awards statt. Die 6 Finalisten waren elephantslackliner altanabananatv cetiehole footballfreestyler wgofficial und trueschoolofficial. Die Show mit Acts wie Samy Deluxe, Jupiter Jones, The Baseballs, Beatboxer Alberto & FAB, Buddy Ogün dem DJ der guten Laune uvm. wurde moderiert von den MTV-Moderatoren Joko & Klaas. Nach einer sehr unterhaltsamen Show standen Elephantslackliners als Gewinner der Trophäe + Preisgeld in Höhe von 10.000 Euro fest. Clixoom interviewte die beiden Slacklinder direkt im Anschluss backstage auf der After-show-party.
