ASUS Transformer Prime Review - TF201 with Docking Station

ASUS Transformer Prime Review - www.netbooknews.com The Transformer Prime has a 10.1″ Super IPS+ 1280 x 800, 10 finger multitouch display with Corning's Gorilla Glass. Under the hood we've got Nvidia's new Tegra 3 quad core processor with 1GB or RAM and the option for a 32 or 64GB SSD along side some cloud based storage from ASUS Webstorage. The camera is significantly improved with an 8MP rear facing camera and a 1.2MP on the front with increased shutted speeds. The rear camera has a flash and features a large F2.4 aperture when most others have a smaller F2.8 which will improve field of depth. There are a bevy of connections available including a 2-in-1 audio jack, micro HDMI, Micro SD card reader, internal microphone and the dock offers an additional 1 USB 2.0 & a full size card reader. There are also a series of sensors including a G-Sensor, Gyroscope, E-compass, GPS & Light Sensor which presumably will be used to automatically gauge screen brightness. It also comes in two colours. We haven't been able to get our hands on the Champagne Gold, but we are told that its the more elegant of the two...which is hard to believe since the Grey was pretty stunning.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime Review

Is there any tablet that's hotter than the Transformer Prime right now? (Please, don't say the Kindle Fire.) For weeks we geeks, early adopters and people who love their tech toys have been awaiting this, and none too patiently. Make no mistake: this will be one of the slickest products we test this year and it isn't just because the original Transformer had such an inventive design. The Prime is the first device packing NVIDIA's hot-off-the-presses Tegra 3 SoC, making it the world's first quad-core tablet. This comes with promises of longer-than-ever runtime and blazing performance (five times faster than Tegra 2, to be exact), all wrapped in a package measuring just 8.3mm (0.33 inches) thick -- even skinnier than the iPad 2 or Galaxy Tab 10.1. Throw in specs like a Super IPS+ Gorilla Glass display, eight megapixel rear camera and a confirmed ICS update in the pipe and even we seen-it-all Engadget editors were drooling. All of which means we dropped just everything when a 32GB Prime showed up on our doorstep earlier this week, and soon enough, you'll have your chance to nab one too. ASUS announced today that the WiFi-only models will be available through online sellers the week of December 19th, and in retail the week after. (No word yet on 3G versions for the US just yet.) It'll start at $499 for the 32GB model -- not bad considering five hundred bucks is the going rate for a high-end tablet with 16GB of storage. From there you can get a 64GB number for $599, while that ...

Apple iPad 2 vs ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime

ASUS Transformer Prime VS iPad 2 www.netbooknews.com The question of the day is how does the ASUS Transformer Prime stack up against the iPad 2? In our opinion it does a good job of being a legitimate iPad 2 competitor, its even just a hair thinner. We are only taking a look at the form factor in this video but you can see that style wise you've got a lot to look forward to when it comes to the ASUS Transformer Prime.

ASUS Transformer Prime gaming / emulator session with the PS3 Dual Shock 3 gamepad

Complete review here: www.swedroid.se Come a long as we take the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime on a gaming session with titles such as Riptide GP, Shadowgun and a bunch of classics including Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Crash Bandicoot 3, Donkey Kong 3... Pretty much everything we throw at this tablet feels a solid 50-60FPS. The Transformer Prime in this video is running Android 3.2 and is set to "Normal speed mode". Games: Reckless Getaway, Shadowgun, Riptide GP. Emulators: SuperGNES, N64oid, FPse Bluetooth does work via the "sixaxis tool" on Android Market (requires root). It is however limited and doesn't work with Riptide GP nor Shadowgun (gamepad not detected). It does work with a few emulators after some tweaking, but it's far from as quick and easy as with a USB connection. Music via Audiojungle: Sonic Byte - Mystic Dance One more thing. We did speed up the first chapter (connecting controller) and the last chapter (failing with connecting controller) by 20%. Everything that has to do with displaying a game is of course running at native FPS. Video was recorded with Panasonic SD900 @ 50 FPS (PAL).

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime review Hands on

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has had a long run as the top-tier Android tablet in the 10-inch size, but that position has now properly been usurped. The original Transformer was a very good tablet and it successor steps up another notch. The Transformer Prime is thinner and lighter than the rest and, with 32GB of storage available for a dollar under $500, it's a better deal than most of the top-tier contenders. The dock, however, is a bit of a tougher sell. If you need crazy battery life on the road then it's definitely a good choice, even if you won't be relying on that cramped keyboard too often. In fact, the less you have to use that part the better, but it's still a perfectly usable way to enter URLs and it sure beats the pants off of any virtual, touchscreen text input method. For the moment the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the best Android tablet on the market. All hail the new king.

Asus Transformer Prime Review - The New Tablet King?

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Review - The Android Tablet You Deserve While the iPad will always receive its fair share of media coverage, no tablet has been anticipated more in 2011 than the Transformer Prime. On paper, the device's specs are a tech-lover's dream: Nvidia's new Tegra 3 quad-core processor, an incredible 10.1″ Super IPS+ display, estimated 12 hours of battery (18 hours with dock), 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and a build quality that would make Apple engineers red with envy. Take a look at out our iPad 2/Transformer Prime comparison gallery to see what we mean. Mind you, this isn't the first time we've tangled with a Transformer (no, not the robots). Earlier this year we reviewed the original device and concluded it was one of the best tablets on the market -- and still is. Asus PR hyped up its newest member of the Transformer family pretty high once it was finally announced early last month. Not only that, but there have been plenty of tantalizing rumors, leaks and photos of the Prime, making the wait all that more agonizing. Needless to say, when we received the Eee Pad Transformer Prime last week, we had some high expectations for the Tegra 3-equipped device. Asus Transformer Prime - First Impressions

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime - First Impressions Four cores. And it feels so good. The first product to ship with Nvidia's Tegra 3 quad-core mobile chipset is upon us, and if first impressions tell the truth, it's a dandy. Asus' Eee Pad Transformer Prime picks up where the original Transformer left off with a refined and slimmed down body and twice the cores inside. Just 0.32 inch (8.3 mm) and tipping the scales at a scant 1.29 pounds (586 grams), Transformer Prime is both thinner and lighter than Apple's iPad 2 and packs a bigger punch than its Android rival, Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1. First Look: ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime "In December for $499"

For three weeks now, Android fans have been fidgeting impatiently. Specifically, ever since ASUS chairman Jonney Shih took the stage at last month's AsiaD conference and teased the next-gen Transformer tablet. Though he only gave us a quick glimpse, he recited a laundry list of specs: a 10.1-inch display, 8.3mm-thick body, mini-HDMI output, microSD slot and an update to Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of the year, if not sooner. Not to mention, it'll be the first tablet packing NVIDIA's hot-off-the-presses Tegra 3 SoC, making it the first-ever quad-core tablet. We knew this: we'd learn more on November 9th. Well, that day has come, and so have the juicy details. We just got word that the tablet will go on sale worldwide in December, starting at $499 with a beefy 32GB of storage, moving up to $599 for a 64GB model. (That signature keyboard dock you see up there will cost $149.) In addition to those basic specs Mr. Shih revealed last month, we now know this has a 1280 x 800, Super IPS+ Gorilla Glass display with a 178-degree viewing angle and a max brightness of 600 nits. It also packs 1GB of RAM, GPS, a gyroscope, SonicMaster audio and a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera. Rounding out the list is an 8MP shooter with an auto-focusing f/2.4 lens and a back-illuminated CMOS sensor that captures 1080p video. Touch-to-focus is also an option here, and ASUS claims a 30 percent boost in color enhancement over competing tabs. As for battery life, we initially heard reports of 14.5 ...
