This is my antique piano that was recently imported from London. The seller was playing various pieces (some by Chopin) to demonstrate its wonderful tone. Please comment on this piece of history!

Concert Grand Piano Erard antique vampireboy 1875

Erard Gothic - Sad Marguerite at the Spinning Wheel - Alfred Zabel. Played by internationally known harpist, David Watkins, who is the Curator of the Clive Morley Collection of Harp Music and Antique Harps. Thanks to David's expertise and ongoing research, the collection is proving to be a valuable resource to anyone studying the harp. This harp in gothic style bears the signature Sebastian and Pierre Erard's, 18 Great Marlborough Street, London, No 5358 on the brass neck plate. A double action pedal harp, the instrument originally had eight pedals. Both the eighth pedal and the shutters that once filled the back of the harp body are now missing. This harp has been fully restored to museum quality, with a lavish black and gold finish. It is playable to recital standard. More information available here: www.morleyharps.co.uk

This is a lovely traditional Irish tune sung by Luka Bloom on his lullaby albumn, Before Sleep Comes. When I first heard it, I thought of my daughter and how she was like a little bird. The harp is my new Erard Grecian, circa 1818. This harp is old, but has a lot of life in her yet. I bought the harp sight unseen in an online furniture auction. It was a real find.

I started to learn to play the harp about 14 months ago on my lovely Aoyama Kerry which I still have.I bought this amazing 1838 Erard 3 months ago thinking it might be unplayable ( cheap,not many strings )I restrung her, and have been playing her ( she is called Gwinneth) ever since. She needs a service, and has a buzz on the higher C's , but i've been told she is otherwise sound. How lucky.I now have my dream harp, one day I hope I will do her justice. The middle section of this tune is a piece I made up to extend an otherwise short tune.

This is the inaugural concert on this like-new 130 year old piano. The vocal audio isn't so loud, but the piano sounds fine. The audio is that which was picked up out of the air by the microphone on the video camera.
