Theodore O'Connor was an eventing Legend. He was an Arabian, Thoroughbred, Shetland cross that stood 14.1 hands tall. He ran head to head with horses twice his size and left them in the dust. He was put down this morning after an accident at David and Karen O'Connor's farm. RIP Teddy! We all love you! This show was out of control. Right before I was supposed to start my dressage test, the sky opended up and poured rain. There was insane amounts of lightning, I was almost positve they would have called the show off. These guys were realy cool, and they waited it out and we got back to business. Gam did so well!

Yesterday at the Novice Eventing Areas. Bit of a last minute thing, we had pulled out of them previously as we were expecting to do them on Dee, but they had written down we were doing it on Cruise! So only like 3-4 days prior to the event, I quickly had to hop on him, pop a small fence on him and run through my test the night before! No crit, I am very rusty here and I have lost a hell of a lot of confidence recently what with Dee etc, I've only began riding Cruise properly only the begining of this week as my sister has been riding him, and we haven't competed anywhere since last September! So we decided to go just for the fun, not competitive :) He felt like a totally different horse, he was taking me into the fences instead of backing off. We came out with a 32.1 Dressage and a double clear and no time penalties! As a result we were 2nd out of 20-odd in my arena, just missing out on qualifying for Great Brittain Pony Club championships. Out of of 6 arena's I was 4th, and that was out of almost 90 people! Not bad for a fat cob who's done nothing recently! We stay may have the chance of PC Championships if the rider who was first in my arena decides not to go, or can't go etc. Then it gets passed down to me. Much love for the cob! -Kate and Cruise.

First of apologies no dressage :( Unfortunately I couldn't get any dressage clips. But it's thanks to Bridled that I had any at all. All I can say is go team GB :D. Especially Nicola Wilson as she's local. :P I do feel bad for the USA though. I have a bit of an affiliation with them as my mum used to work for Bruce Davidson Snr so when Buck Davidson had all his problems I was like :(. Then when Karen O'connor had her faults in the SJ I was like ahh noo, I have met her too and she and the Americans did deserve a team medal. Michael Jung really deserved that individual gold though but well done William getting silver and Andrew Nicholson getting Bronze :D. I'd love to make a video for the dressage as well, especially as we got team silver and Individual thanks to Laura *runs to check name* Bechtolsheimer. Some of the nice rides I saw during the Intermediate and Advanced Cross Country competition on Saturday at the 2010 Millbrook Horse Trials. Kristen Bond and Buck Davidson won the A and B divisions of Advanced with horses Are You Ready and Ballynoecastle RM respectively, while Lillian Heard and Sarah Kozumplik took both divisions of the Intermediate, on Share Option and Manolo Blahnik, respectively. I'm sure many of us have felt like Jennifer O'Neil at the end of an arduous ride. There were two obstacles at Millbrook that I've never seen before. First a huge terraced 'wall of doom' requiring three great leaps to surmount, and then a giant 'hill of oblivion'. Well to me anyway. I would loose control of certain bodily functions if I had to jump and then gallop down a dark crazy steep hill like that! Let's see you do those on your motocross bike. This was a great weekend for Davidson, placing in the top 6 with every horse he rode in every division. That's why he's in the slo-mo bit with Liberty zig-zagging over the coffin - my pick for ride of the day. And that's why Davidson will be on the US Team for the World Equestrian Games in just 7 weeks.

Gam and I did Old Hope Farms Intro Eventing! We were doing so great, until we started Cross Country. He got a bit spooked and I took a pretty nice fall. I'm still very proud of him, He was great! I downloaded this vid from a site I was looking at for show jumping and eventig vids, and found this. In the orignial video, the song is playing in the background, and the horse was pretty beated to it, so I just had to edit it to it :P From what I could make out from the vid (and with some help from you youtubers thanks:P) the horses name is Candlelight, riden by Michael Jong. The horse looks like a Danish Warmblood mare? I don't speak German. (Even though Melissa will say its the same thing...IT ISNT!:O haha :P) I think this horse and rider are incredible. There is a real partnership between them. You can tell the horse is giving its all. I think the rider is amazing. He has great postioning, especially over the jumps. He barely moves in the saddle, and has great control of his horse in the confindment of the arena, and at eventer speed. Except for the knocked rail at 2:05, and the slight hesitation at 2:10, a bit before, and between the two jumps, this was a great round.
