Jose Feliciano - Rain [Lyrics]

Listen to the pouring rain Listen to it pour, And with every drop of rain You know I love you more Let it rain all night long, Let my love for you go strong, As long as we're together Who cares about the weather? Listen to the falling rain, Listen to it fall, And with every drop of rain, I can hear you call, Call my name right out loud, I can here above the clouds And I'm here among the puddles, You and I together huddle. Listen to the falling rain, Listen to it fall. It's raining, It's pouring, The old man is snoring, Went to bad And bumped his head, He couldn't get up in the morning, Listen to the falling rain, listen to the rain

Star Spangled Banner-Jose Feliciano (story and 1968 video)

This is the story of the very 1st personal version of the Usa Anthem, before Jimi hendrix, Aretha Franklin or Marvin Gaye ray Charles Whitney Houston. This version however destroyed his career: american radios, press and record companies stopped to play his records and boycotted his career, a career af a true genius then never has received all what he deserve Jose Feliciano Oct. 7, 1968 Puerto Rican blind singer/guitarist Jose Feliciano stunned the crowd at Tiger Stadium in Detroit, and the rest of America, when he strummed a slow, bluesy rendition of the national anthem before Game 5 of the World Series between Detroit and St. Louis. The 23-year-old's performance was the first nontraditional version seen by mainstream America, and it is generally considered the Lexington and Concord of Star-Spangled Banner controversies. The fiery response from Vietnam-weary America was not surprising, considering the tumultuous year for American patriotism. Good or bad, however, Feliciano's performance opened the door for the countless interpretations of the Star-Spangled Banner we hear today.

Jose Feliciano " Sunny" (1968)

From his 1968 album "Feliciano!" This is a wonderful cover of Bobby Hebbs Classic song. Sunny" is the name of a song written by Bobby Hebb. It is one of the most covered popular songs, with hundreds of versions released. BMI rates "Sunny" number 25 in its "Top 100 songs of the century". Hebb wrote the song after suffering a double tragedy - a national loss followed by a personal one: On 22 November 1963, the day after US President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, Hebb's older brother Harold was killed in a knife fight outside a Nashville nightclub. Hebb was devastated by both events and many critics say that those events inspired the tune. Others claims Bobby wrote the song for God.

Jose Feliciano "Windmills Of Your Mind"

José Montserrate Feliciano García (born September 10, 1945) is a Puerto Rican singer and guitarist. He was left permanently blind at birth due to congenital glaucoma. Feliciano overcame the effects of this impairment to score many international hits. In 1963 after some live performances in pubs and clubs around the USA (especially in Greenwich Village, NY (where he played in the same time of Bob Dylan or Joan Baez), he was signed at RCA Victor. In 1964, he released his first single "Everybody do The Click". Later, in 1965 and 1966, he also released his first albums "The Voice and Guitar of Jose Feliciano" and "A Bag Full of Soul", two folk-pop-soul albums then shown in the USA his talent in some radios around the country where He was been described like a "10 finger wizard", He also was invited at Newport Jazz festival in 1964. In 1966, he went to Mar del Plata, Argentina, to perform at the Festival de Mar del Plata. There, he impressed RCA Victor officials who told him to stay there to record an album in Spanish. They weren't sure what they wanted to record, but Feliciano suggested they record bolero music. The result was two smash hits with the singles Poquita Fe (Little Faith, aka Sin Fe, or Without Faith), a song written by fellow Puerto Rican Bobby Capó, and Usted (the formal way to say "you" in Spanish). A year later Feliciano was to perform in Great Britain, but authorities would not allow his guide dog into the country. The stringent quarantine measures of those ...

Aranjuez Con Tu Amor.Jose Feliciano

Jose Feliciano.Aranjuez Con Tu Amor Jose Feliciano is recognized as the first Latin Artist to cross over into the English music market, opening the doors to others who now play an important part in the American music industry. As importantly, Feliciano has been acclaimed by critics throughout the world as "The greatest living guitarist". Jose was born blind, to humble beginnings on September 10, 1945, in Lares, Puerto Rico. When he was five, his family immigrated to New York City. Young Jose learned to play the concertina at age six, At eight, he performed for his classmates at PS 57, and at nine, performed at The Puerto Rican Theater in the Bronx. Venturing beyond the accordion, he taught himself to play the guitar with undaunted determination and again, with nothing but records as his teacher, practicing for as many as 14 hours a day. Exposed to the rock-n-roll of the 50's, Jose was then inspired to sing. Jose's first major break in the industry, however, happened in the Spanish market when, in 1966, after an amazing performance at the Mar del Plata Festival in Argentina, the RCA executives in Buenos Aires encouraged Jose to stay there and record an album of Spanish music. By the time he was 23, Jose Feliciano had earned five Grammy nominations and won two Grammy Awards for his album "Feliciano!", he had performed over much of the world, and had recorded songs in four languages. But Jose was not satisfied. He had a desire to expand his career to include some acting and ...

After two more successful albums, Feliciano, now a household name all over Latin America, moved to Los Angeles. He got together with Rick Jarrard who was at the time also producing Nilsson and Jefferson Airplane. They recorded the The Doors' song "Light My Fire" in a Latin style and when released as a single, it reached #3 on the US pop charts in late summer, 1968. Bill Withers featuring José Feliciano - Can We Pretend w/lyrics

Lyrics: Can we pretend That from now on There is no yesterday Paint a portrait of tomorrow With no colors from today Chorus: Theres a light that shine in your face sometimes That takes my feeling wraps them around your need But theres shadow hiding in your heart sometimes That makes my feelings turn back in on me Can we pretend The pain is gone And go our merry way Paint a portrait of tomorrow With the colors bright and gay Repeat Chorus Biography: Bill Withers (born July 4, 1938 in Slab Fork, West Virginia) is an American singer-songwriter who performed and recorded from the late 1960s until the mid 1980s. Bills father died when he was thirteen. He joined the US Navy at seventeen, and stayed there for nine years, before he moved to Los Angeles in 1967. While in Los Angeles, he worked full-time in a Lockheed assembly plant in the day, making toilets for Boeing 747 airliners, then recorded demo tapes and performed in juke joints during the night. When he debuted on the music scene with Aint No Sunshine, he refused to give up his job at Lockheed because of his belief that the music business was a fickle industry and that he was still a novice compared to other working acts like The Temptations or Sammy Davis, Jr. His first success was with the company Sussex Records in 1971 with his debut hit single Aint No Sunshine on the album Just as I Am. He assembled a touring band made up of: drummer James Gadson, guitarist Bernoce Blackmon, keyboardist Ray Jackson, and bassist Melvin ...

Translation: When I Think About You When I think about you I remember that with you I knew love I am bled by the wounds that I leave that I will do without you When I lost you he was always looking in my pillow for your heat I was suffocating so much inside this pain where my love is When I think about you your body in my body it is me who I feel again when I think about you I remember those nights without end, without end When I think about you I stick to this pain that always lives in me when I think about you I remember this man that I was, that I gave to you When I think about you I am enveloped by the sadness of a present gray I burn with nostalgia for a way to be happy in myself When I think about you your body in my body it is me who I feel again when I think about you I remember those nights without end, without end When I think about you I stick to this pain that always lives in me when I think about you I remember this man that I was, that I gave to you

Para Decir Adios by Jose Feliciano & Ann Kelly on 1982 RCA Victor.

Spanish-Latin guitar-pop track from 1982 largely unknown outside of Mexico, or other Spanish countries. This track, along with 19 other songs came from a RCA cassette tape made in 1989 titled "La Serie De Los 20 Exitos", which is a compilation of Jose Feliciano hit songs that I acquired when visiting the town "Piedras Negras", which is located in Coahuila, Mexico. Also, I relate this to "Garcia's Restaurant" located in "Metamoros", which is in Tamaulipas, Mexico and I remember hearing many of the songs this tape has being played in the background at the restaurant. Cassette was transferred to digital using stereo gear in background channel photo.
