This version however destroyed his career: american radios, press and record companies stopped to play his records and boycotted his career, a career af a true genius then never has received all what he deserve Jose Feliciano Oct. 7, 1968 Puerto Rican blind singer/guitarist Jose Feliciano stunned the crowd at Tiger Stadium in Detroit, and the rest of America, when he strummed a slow, bluesy rendition of the national anthem before Game 5 of the World Series between Detroit and St. Louis. The 23-year-old's performance was the first nontraditional version seen by mainstream America, and it is generally considered the Lexington and Concord of Star-Spangled Banner controversies. The fiery response from Vietnam-weary America was not surprising, considering the tumultuous year for American patriotism. Good or bad, however, Feliciano's performance opened the door for the countless interpretations of the Star-Spangled Banner we hear today.

It is one of the most covered popular songs, with hundreds of versions released. BMI rates "Sunny" number 25 in its "Top 100 songs of the century". Hebb wrote the song after suffering a double tragedy - a national loss followed by a personal one: On 22 November 1963, the day after US President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, Hebb's older brother Harold was killed in a knife fight outside a Nashville nightclub. Spanish-Latin guitar-pop track from 1982 largely unknown outside of Mexico, or other Spanish countries. This track, along with 19 other songs came from a RCA cassette tape made in 1989 titled "La Serie De Los 20 Exitos", which is a compilation of Jose Feliciano hit songs that I acquired when visiting the town "Piedras Negras", which is located in Coahuila, Mexico. Also, I relate this to "Garcia's Restaurant" located in "Metamoros", which is in Tamaulipas, Mexico and I remember hearing many of the songs this tape has being played in the background at the restaurant. Cassette was transferred to digital using stereo gear in background channel photo.
