Happy Betta Fish in Community Tank
Welcome back! Today's video is about an alternative way to keep a Betta fish which is a fish tank. While fish bowl may seem more convenient and take up less room, the fish in them do not live a happy and enriched life. If you still want to keep a Betta in a bowl/container please get the biggest one that you can possibly get. The bigger the better! About the tank: I had this tank about two years ago and it is a ten gal, long tank. It was a low light planted tank with a submersible filter (it only did mechanical filtration). In it I had 6 female Betta, 4 Lamp eye tetras, and I later added 1 male Betta. It was an easy to keep tank and everyone got along. Unfortunately after two years my fish got infected with an internal parasite and died. I was too slow to notice the problem and didn't add the medicine fast enough. After that the tank was moved into my bedroom where I made it into a Amazon fish tank. I also own two other tanks and have read a few books about fish. I am still not a pro at fish keeping and am learning more everyday. I'll post videos of all my tanks when I get the chance. Advice: When buying fish always check if they are healthy. Also look at the Bettas temperament. If he/she is trying to attack other fish then do not get one. Try to get the calm ones. YES, fish do have different personalities and some are more aggressive while some are less. I have even read online about some people that have large community tanks and have multiple male Bettas and they get <b>...</b>
